Richard nodded and then excused himself. He followed the guard back to alpha Fred Wilson's chambers.

   When he arrived, he met the alpha in his study. Fred is not in the habit of allowing people into his study except close family or friends.

   But Richard, he took him not as a friend but a family. And family they say comes first always.

    Richard walked in and bowed before the alpha as the guard retreated. Alpha Fred offered him a seat and the latter sat down.

   The King poured himself a drink and asked that Richard also poured himself a drink. The two men drank and Fred asked him how he came across his daughter and Derick to have followed them down?
