He remembered Derick was not there. He didn't come but remained indoors. He was still young at the time, he couldn't resist his father but he could do whatever he liked with his will power.

   Lukas Briston and his wife actually drank to stupor that night. He was helped to his chambers along with his wife that night.

   Thinking about it now, he wondered why he was not murdered in that drunken state. He was there as well that day as expected of everyone who is happy with the new authority in the pack.
