They refused
Derick asked, looking at Isabella first and then at Erica. He was expecting to see Fred Wilson at the table like always.
But when he glanced at Erica, the woman doesn't seemed interested in answering him wearing a poker face.
She only concentrated on her breakfast. Derick looked at Isabella again. He doesn't know why, but Isabella's mother detest him.
Isabella saw her mother's cold attitude to Derick's question. She was as surprised as he was that her father was not at the table for breakfast.
It's very unlike him. She was going to ask after him from her mother when Derick beat her to it. It only shows that he is interested in every member of her Family.
