Chapter One

Aidan's POV

I ran through the woods trying to escape from whatever is chasing after me, and believe me when I say run through the woods in the rain with lightning flashing on a Stormy night isn't easy,

I looked up Just in time to avoid hitting my head on a tree branch but I wasn't fast enough to avoid tripping over a fallen log.

I groaned in pain as I hit the ground with so much force the wind was knocked out of me, I slowly rolled to lay on my back, looking up into the night sky trying to be as quite as possible so as not to attract whatever is chasing me from seeing me after some time everything was quite the only sounds to be heard are the sound of dropping waters and thunder,

I got up and rest a bit on a standing tree before turning to leave but I froze mid step, in the shadows in front of me something stood there unmoving it's vibrant blue eyes staring straight at me, I couldn't see it's whole body but from the height of it's eyes it a very big creature, the eyes seems to withdraw into the darkness a little before lunging for me, I closed my eyes screaming very loudly.

'Ahhhhhhhhhhh....". When I didn't feel anything I slowly Opened my eyes to see myself in my little Godforsaken room and on my bed.

"A nightmare mutt?. Someone yelled from outside and a few other voices laughed.

"You have just thirty minutes to prepare breakfast or you're in for it" Logan, the future beta said kicking the door at the end of his speech to add effect.

I'm Aidan Clark the omega of the Imperial Pack, though I was born to the former Beta family I was born with a very weak scent and I'm almost human, the only thing I have as a werewolf is my inhuman speed, and sense of smell, my healing speed is only slightly faster than human's so the Alpha announced me as an Omega but everything was going fine our pack was attacked by rogues and I lost my parents to them, now years later here I am the Pack's weak link and punching bag with different level of injuries littering my body from the endless beatings I get from the future beta and his clique.

I walked to school with a slight limp and new bruises from this morning's beating for failing to make breakfast in time.

School has always been hell for me as everyone in the pack hates me with passion cause according to them I'm the weak link.

I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't see the leg stretched out in front of me until it's too late, I fell face first hurting my nose in the process.

"Ouw did that hurt? Logan said laughing with the rest of the students around.

"Next time watch where you're going human"Sam spat as they walked away, I stood up and limped my way to class.

"Hey what up" Miles said as he walked up to me.

"Hey" I replied tiredly.

Miles is the only friend I have in the pack he's a nerd and doesn't associate with people except me.

"So how's school today? He asked.

"I wish it's the last day I have to come". I replied.

"Don't worry pal you'll be eighteen soon and you'll find your mate all this will stop"He stated.

"I don't think I have one and even if I do they'll probably reject me on spot, no one in this pack will want me as their mate" I replied tears stinging my eyes.

"You don't know that, Mates are divine gift from the moon goddess and no one in their right will reject their moon given partner" He said trying to comfort me.

"Yet people still reject their Mates, if I ever come across my mate I'll reject them before they get the chance to reject me" I said to and walked out of the school and head to the only place where I feel at peace.

"Hey Lucas" I greeted as I walked into the secret gym in his house.

"Hey buddy what's up?

"Aside the punches I'm good" I replied dropping my school bag and getting into my training gears.

Lucas is the Pack's best warrior and trainer, we got really close after he lost his son and mate the Same night I lost my parents and he has been training me in secret since the Alpha forbids me from training with the Pack.

"You know you can't let them do this forever right? He asked as he hands me a strips of hand wraps to wrap around my hands to prevent injuries.

"We both know there's nothing I can do, they're the future beta and gamma of the Pack, I'll only end up getting punished even if I succeeded in beating them and also I can't match up to their strength since I don't have a wolf". I replied sadly.

Another thing that saddens me is the fact that I don't have a wolf, werewolves shift for the first time when they clock sixteen but on my sixteenth Birthday I didn't get a wolf, which is why the Pack calls me human.

"Hey don't feel bad cause you don't have a wolf yet, I believe he'll come when the time is right" he said.

"I highly doubt that " I replied as I starts my daily punching routine.

"I was at the Pack house earlier, heard Amelia is coming back home soon.

"Okay? I replied simply, she'll only join my tormentors, Amelia is the Alpha's daughter and we used to be very close back when my parents were alive but she suddenly changed and stop talking to me, she's been away for Alpha training for some years now, and if she's coming back now it means she's done with her training.

Well I wish her a safe journey home.
