"You have not given me an answer, Elena" Marcus said as he shifted closer to Elena, he tilted her chin up and made her look at him in his eyes.

"Is this not what you wanted?" Marcus asked, tilting his eyebrow.

"I—" Elena stuttered. She could not form words anymore. Her anger had died down in her throat and she was too confused to move. Was he going to kiss her? He had to be bluffing.

"If you're not comfortable enough then," his words sent shivers down her spine, his touch on her chin was the cause of the goosebumps on her skin. Why did he have such an effect on her? Why did she let him?

Marcus shifted away without another word. He buckled his seat belt and continued driving, leaving Elena in awe.

"Why— why did you do that?"

"Because you wanted me to? I'm sorry if I invaded your personal space but you complain a lot, and I thought if I gave you what you wanted then you would not complain anymore."

Elena gaped at him. "I do not complain a lot."
