Chapter 0004

The man looked at Cole’s stony face as he walked to a booth. The man followed and asked, "Brother Cole, aren't you going up to Mrs. Guller?"

"She's not Mrs. Guller."

Whereas……

His cold eyes fell on Helma, who was smiling brightly.

He wanted to see what was up with her today and what demonic tricks she was up to.

So, the two sat down in the booth.

Cole kept his eyes on the unrestrained and carefree Helma, feeling that the woman on stage was a total stranger.

Over the past two years, Helma has always been obedient and docile in front of him. She had long black hair and rarely wore makeup.

Pretty, but also bland.

Today, however, she had gorgeous makeup on. Her lipstick was foxy. As she beat the drums, her expression was vivid, unlike anything he had seen before.

Cole looked up and downed a glass of wine.

Helma received an excited round of applause when she finished her set. She smiled and stretched lazily, revealing a snow-white, slender waist.

She looked around and saw Wanda grinding hips with a man. She figured her friend was unlikely to be thinking about her.

Helma got down from the stage.

"Hey, beauty." Someone called out gently.

Helma was unsure if he was calling her, but she turned and looked.

A man with a slender figure was leaning against the bar. His attractive eyes dazzled under the faint light, and his thin lips curled into a subtle arc.

The look in his eyes was too provocative for Helma’s comfort. She frowned subconsciously. "What’s wrong with you, sir?"

Owen looked at her for a while. "You look familiar."

Helma was a little speechless. "Sir, that pick-up line is way too cliche."

Owen did not respond but furrowed his beautiful brows. Suddenly, he clapped his hands. "Now I remember who you are!

"Are you related to Neil?"

Helma was a little surprised. "You know my brother?" she asked.

Owen laughed loudly and stepped forward. He put his hands on her shoulders as if they were old friends and led her to his private booth. "My name is Owen Pearce, your brother's friend. Don't you recognize me?"

Helma was not used to being touched by strangers.

She frowned awkwardly and slapped his hand off. "Even if you are my brother's friend, no touching."

Owen said, "Yo, this little wild kitty has sharp claws.

"Come on, have a drink with me."

Helma wanted to refuse, but Owen had already led her into the room before she could react.

She thought to herself, ‘What's going on?

‘He led me into a room just like that?’

Still a little wary, she quietly hung on to her bag.

In the next second, Owen raised his hand and called two beauties over, wrapping his arms around them, one on each side.

"..." Helma looked at him coldly and, after a while, asked, "My brother is also like this?"

When she finally spoke, Owen lifted his arms, signaling the two beauties to leave them. He propped his elbows on his knees and raised his eyebrows at her. "Little kitty, do you really want to know?"

He patted the space by his side provocatively. "Come here."

Helma's face turned cold immediately. She stood up and looked down at him.

Her expression was deadpan. "If you keep doing this, I will leave."

Owen smiled, spreading his hands. "Okay okay, I was wrong. I’ll stop, alright?"

There was a wild gleam in his eyes.

Neil’s sister was quite interesting.

"Not sure if your brother is in love with someone or what. He..."

Before Owen could finish, the room door was kicked open with a bang.

Helma was so shocked that she almost screamed.

Owen frowned and cursed, "Who the f*ck?!"

A tall, handsome man stood at the door. His dark face could summon a storm. “Helma?” he growled.

She thought, ‘What is going on? This uninvited guest is looking for me?’

“You are so capable. There was no news of you, even after so many days." With a few steps, Cole was in front of Helma, his thin lips tightly pressed and his voice hostile.

Confused, she thought to herself, ‘Is he talking to me?’

‘Do I know him?’ She wondered.

Cole’s cold eyes glanced at Owen, his tone dripping with sarcasm. "I didn't expect you to be so wild here."

Suddenly, Helma was pissed.

She thought, ‘Who the hell is this? Extremely weird man, blabbing since he came in. The problem is, I don’t even know who he is!’
