Her heart shattered into pieces after what Liam told. Not even the slap that he gave her was as painful as the hurtful words she heard.

She wept bitterly and asked him. “But why. I thought you never loved me, why don’t you allow me go.”

It was so obvious that he did not like her and was willing to stay committed to their marriage, why won’t he allow her to go then?’

He glanced at her with  cold eyes while saying, “ You are responsible for the death of my beloved Joey, what made you think you can escape after doing so? I won’t ever forget what you did not forgive you. And for this same reason, I will torture you until you wish for death to come your way.”

Although he didn’t actually caught her killing Joey, he was so sure that she was behind it and would make her pay at all cost.

“I really didn’t kill her, believe me. I am innocent Liam. How do I make you believe that I’m innocent. Now I realized that I shouldn’t have loved a psychopath like you in the beginning. This was the biggest mistake I made. Please let me go.” Rita was saying while still crying.

Both the wound on her left leg and the words all shattered her, and the fact that she could not rely on anyone for help broke her even more.

Was it a crime to love?

“You monster!” She screamed with firmness.

Now that she had told him her mind of divorcing him, she felt a sense of relief.

However, her hair was violently grabbed by him. It felt an unbearable pain as though her scalp would tear apart . It was so painful.

Liam smiled at her and said, “What has gotten over you Rita. Tell me, is something wrong with your brain. Me a monster, I’ll show you how a monster behaves then.” He said while dragging her hair.

More tears rolled down from her eyes as she trembled due to the agonizing pain.

Rita was not the only one who was scared, even the servants that were holding her arms were sweating profusely and shaking in fear.

In this three years that they had been working for Liam, they had never seen him act like this although they were aware of his unapproachable behavior and cold aura. At this point, he looks like a killer.

Rita on the other hand was well aware about what Liam was going to do together her after thinking she was the responsible for Joey’s death.

“I already told you I was not the one that killed Joey, please let me be. You are just being stupid .” She said.

Her words made him angry even more.

He knew of how she was trying to deny being the one responsible for Joey’s death, but he had evidence that she was really the one who had killed her and he was not wrong about that.

“Okay, when I was arranging Joey’s belongings, I came across the message that you actually sent her my hotel number without my knowledge, now explain why you did that and why you didn’t bother letting me to know about this.” His tone was cold as he asked her.

Rita kept quiet, allowing what he said to sink i side her.

It was this same message that Rita sent to her made get to see him having sex with another lady, Aj got angry afterward and while returning back home, she had an accident and died.

Rita still kept quiet and could not give an answer to the question he asked her, but one thing was sure; she was not the one who sent the message to Joey, so who else was it then?

And as for the person behind this plot, who was trying to make her look like a bad person in front of Liam and destroy her, she made up her mind to find out who the person was and why they were doing this to her when she clearly had not wronged them.

But she still found not give an answer to the question. She just kept starring at nothing in particular.

Her silence made him believe she was truest the one who was responsible for Joey’s death.

“Won’t you answer me, that’s just prove one thing which is that you are the culprit. You are a murderer and a deceitful woman. I regretted making you my wife.” He said with a cold tone.

She gave no answer to all what he said and instead pretended that she did not hear what he was saying.

“From the moment you killed her, don’t you know you are cursed and will have a bad life! I thought you ate so in love with me and wished to spend the rest of your life with me, so I’ll grant you that. You will continue to be my wife and live this life of pain for the rest of your life!” He said with no expression on his face.

“Take her to her room now.” He screamed.

The servants nodded and did as they were told, hence dragging her upstairs to her room.
