“Forgive me, I came at the wrong time,” Lily said with a gentle smile as she stepped inside. “I heard Grandma Mary had returned and thought I should visit her. I didn’t expect to intrude on dinner.”

Her sudden appearance caught everyone off guard.

Nora’s gaze immediately cut to Travis, cold and sharp. This was supposed to be a family dinner. He had dragged her here, yet couldn’t even protect her dignity.

Even Travis himself hadn’t expected Lily to show up. But when he met Nora’s half-mocking, half-contemptuous eyes, the faint smile that had been tugging at his mouth disappeared. His tone chilled as he looked at Lily. “This is a family dinner. What are you doing here at the estate?”
