"Don’t they know she’s the Fern family’s heiress. How can they be accusing her like this?”

Ercell was furious and thought. 

One call from the Fern family could destroy this people.

Laura gestured to Jemima, who just arrived and she moved forward to them. "I have our chat logs here where you bribed me Hadley. I deliberately went to Mr. Shaw and told him everything since I was sickened by this treachery after working for the Shaw Group for a long time."

It dawned on Hadley that Jemima must have been bribed to ruin her. She thought Jemima was her friend and could never betray her, but now…

“Me bribe you?” Hadley asked.

"Yes. You told me to steal the new draft since you wanted retribution for Mr. Shaw leaving you for Ms. Beck.”

“I always know you’re evil but not to this extent, Hadley. How could you do something this cheap?” Laura asked.

Hadley turn to look at Ercell.

Ercell gave a small nod. "Jemima, take a look at this video. It shows how you stole the drafts a day before Hadley came. This was when you  sold it to Emmanuel Bridgeton.”

There was shock on Jemima’s face. Her eyes widen with disbelief, and she bowed her head in shame and guilt.

As Andrew watched the transaction footage, his eyes sharpened.

Laura was stunned as well and thought, ‘How did they get their hands on this video? I have to make sure this doesn't come back to me’

"That video is a fake. Probably Ai generated. This must have been made by Hadley to clear her name. Of course she’ll do this because she’s shameless.” Laura remarked.

"Fake video?" There was annoyance in Ercell’s voice. She grinned as she looked at Laura. "Are you blind, Ms Beck? Prove to us that it’s an Ai video of you’re so sure.“

Laura was stunned. She had never met a woman so challenging like Ercell before. "You... How dare you talk to me like that? You—“

She paused.

Her mind was full of profanities, and she felt furious inside. But she couldn't bring herself to swear in front of Andrew. She always wanted to maintain that “good girl” behavior.

Hadley saw right through her little ploy.

"Here is the proof that she’s innocent. If you also think this is an Ai video, you can provide the evidence Mr. Shaw. We’ll be waiting.” Ercell said to Andrew.

Laura clung to Andrew’s arm and sent a curious yet contemptuous glance at Hadley. "How did she get proof to clear her name?" she wondered.

However, it is no longer relevant. The news that Hadley stole the company's drafts has already been leaked online. Hadley’s life must be ruined now.

"Mr. Shaw, can you clear my name online now?" Hadley said, glancing at Andrew with a chilly indifference.

Ercell spoke before Andrew could. "Your company has gone too far, Mr. Shaw. Our boss never disseminated this online, but your team did. Don't expect us to refrain from playing dirty."

‘Who leaked it online, and so fast’ Andrew thought, furrowing his brow.

Malice sparkled in Laura’s eyes as she saw Andrew’s reaction. Did he still care about Hadley, she wondered.

Just then… ding! A notification on Hadley’s phone.

Hadley saw the number 1 trending hashtag when she clicked on the notification: [#Hadleystolenewdraftsoftheshawgroup#]

She was being torn apart by harsh remarks. Her eyes went cold. She thought, "I've already left, but this people still wouldn't let me off the hook."

Andrew gazed at Hadley’s dead eyes.

“Get Jemima to confess and post it online so it can clear my name. Or i'll take the Shaw Group down along with me if you don’t.”

Hadley turned and left after that. With Ercell following her behind. Luckily Kate was able to get this footage to clear her name.

After watching them leave, Andrew turned back to Jemima. "The video is authentic, Ms. Rexa. So why did you lie? Were you paid to do this?”

“I..I..I” Jemima stammered and couldn’t speak properly.

“Answer me. Know what, you’ll talk after you’re arrested.” Andrew said.

Shivering in fear, Jemima muttered, "I was forced to do this Mr. Shaw. I already signed an agreement not to disclose the person who sent me. I can’t.”

Keeping her family in mind, she then surrender herself.

"Hadley has ruined everything," Laura thought. “Now what should I do?

Andrew will surely know it’s her if he look into this. She can’t let this happen.

She cast a worried glance at Andrew. 

"Drew, what will happen to the company now? You spent months developing this new plan."

Andrew’s face lit up with a knowing smile that carried an unseen threat.

"Whoever is responsible for this will suffer the consequences.”

A shiver went through Laura.

Andrew’s phone rang and he excused himself to pick the call.

Laura’s gaze trailed the fleeing form of Hadley and Ercell. She needed to do something, so she rush after them.

Hadley and Ercell were about to enter the car when Laura block them.
