Chapter 8 Why was she so lucky?

In the office, only Lily's sobbing remained.

"Samuel, I really didn't know she was a negotiator sent by the Southern Chamber of Commerce. I thought..." She said while wiping away the tears she was trying to hold back at the corners of her eyes.

She thought Natalie had come back to seduce Samuel, wanting to mend their old relationship.

How did she know that Nathaniel, a divorced woman like Natalie, who was acquainted with him, would hand over the work of the Southern Chamber of Commerce to her?
