Chapter 16 - Welcome home, Georgia.

"Stop tormenting me," Georgia whispered as she closed her eyes and let the hot water droplets fall over her face, wetting her neck, chest, and the rest of her body.

She brought her hands to her head and pushed back her damp hair, trying to rid herself of the image of Alessandro Mascherano. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw him in her memory like a ghostly projection. Contrary to scaring her, he evoked emotions in her that were unfamiliar.

Georgia was not a child, she had had many encounters with men and different types of relationships, but with Alessandro, something was different. He both terrified and provoked her equally. For Georgia, it was as if her mind told her to stay away from him because he was dangerous, but at the same time, her heart and body moved involuntarily, only to draw her closer.

"You're not going to think about him anymore, and that's an order," she told herself as she finished rinsing the soapy suds from her slippery body.
