Chapter 39

I gulp in nervousness, as I gazed at my boss's expression. 

I was curious to know, what the old woman said to him, that made me become so stiff. 

Sir! I suddenly shouted to get his attention! As I felt uncomfortable with his sudden quietness. 

Hmm! I guess we are done here, let's go!  He stated firmly and stood up to leave. 

Huh! But we are not done here!? I muttered to him but receive no reply. I also stood up and  pick up my handbag and followed him out.

Few minutes later! 

We finally arrived home, after the awkward silent in the car. Immediately the car parked, I quickly get out of the car and went straight to my room without turning back. 

Ding!. Ding.. 

Daniel 'S phone beep with an incoming call.  He quickly picked it up and walked to a corner. 

Yes! What's the reason for calling me at this time! Daniel asked his manager in an angry tone.&nb
