Hayley stood when she saw Kane and Conrad. Kane looked annoyed about something as he didn't look her way while entering his office. "I want to go first." Hayley tried to get the thought of Kane being forced to take a mate out of her mind. She didn't think it mattered to her, because she knew that if the Alpha should choose a mate. It wouldn't be her. Davina punched Hayley in the eye, and was about to swing at her again, as her friends took that as their queue to jump in. They held onto Hayley so that Davina could get some hits in, but Hayley broke free from their hold, then blew a small amount of wolfsbane at the four of them. She didn't use much because she didn't want any blood on her hands, and she knew what the price of killing was. Samantha, Davina's newest best friend, hit Hayley on the side of the head, causing her to fall to the ground. She was about to hit her again, but Hayley kicked her in the chest. Hayley was silent at first, then she glanced over at Gunther. "Sorry about your nose." Pointed at his nose then touched hers, after it seemed as if his nose was not healing. ''Oh, this? Hayley didn't know if she should say thanks or what, but the smile on Gunther's face said he was proud of her. "Lets take you to the doc. He knows just how to heal and mend broken bones, so you'll be good as new." "I'm not going there." Hayley said, then stopped walking. Gunther chuckled, "stubborn. Well, I like a challenge." Suddenly, he picked Hayley up and threw her over his shoulder. "Wouldn't want your hand deformed now, would you? I'm sure you wouldn't want another reason to be picked on." But Hayley still protected. "I don't want to go, that crazy doctor only knows how to treat wolves and always tries to turn me into his guinea pig." Hayley said, pounding on Gunther's back.

Hayley threw a look over at Alpha Kane, wondering if he agreed with his Beta, but his eyes were boring back into hers. She couldn't tell what he was thinking, another reason she kind of wish she was a wolf. They could communicate through a mind link, while some wolves could read minds. Like the Alpha, for example. What she would give to get inside his head. But then again, she didn't want to know. Maybe it was all about Davina promising him a good time. If he let her off easy, and with him being mateless, he wouldn't reject her. Kane narrowed his eyes, which caused Hayley to quickly look away from him.
