Hayley threw a look over at Alpha Kane, wondering if he agreed with his Beta, but his eyes were boring back into hers.

She couldn't tell what he was thinking, another reason she kind of wish she was a wolf. They could communicate through a mind link, while some wolves could read minds. Like the Alpha, for example.

What she would give to get inside his head.

But then again, she didn't want to know. Maybe it was all about Davina promising him a good time. If he let her off easy, and with him being mateless, he wouldn't reject her.

Kane narrowed his eyes, which caused Hayley to quickly look away from him.

Hayley start imagining it again, Davina being Luna, making her life even worse than it already was. The pack would be a living hell, with all females in exile.
