CANT GET ENOUGH

MENDEZ MANSION

CARLOTA HAROLD

I Took a sip on my coffee. My fingers slightly trembling as I was facing Sylvia, Olivia and Greg.

"What's with your men they can't give us any good news about Siren's whereabouts? It's been three months and until now you can't still bring her back." Sylvia's voice is calm yet her aura is overwhelming that it makes me worry.

She's always calm and compose, but more than anybody, I know her most.

All the way from Spain, she flew right away back to the US when I told her about Siren's disappearance via phone call.

The news brings dilemma to both Greg Mendez' households.

Unlike Greg and Sylvia, Olivia seems like nothing's really happening at the moment. Her eyes shows how calm she is. It's not like she ever worry about her step-daughter.

The first few days after Siren's disappearance, she never talk about wanting to look for her. Like an ordinary day, she just go to her favorite hair saloon and even invited her friends to come over for a casual tea party.

When Sylvia came back the fourth day Siren was gone, that's the only moment I saw her show how worry she was for the child. How hypocrite.

Though Greg married another woman, Sylvia still consider herself as the hostess of the mansion. She still the Madam. And even Olivia cannot be compared with her.

Many times I notices how hard Olivia tries to avoid her. Well, she better keep herself from messing with Sylvia. Knowing Greg's first wife, she will not consider anybody even if it's her husband's new wife.

And I know, Sylvia is looking at Olivia as the main reason why her daughter run away.

Poor child.

I, myself raised Siren. Dedicated my life to stay by her side. Make her feel like she's my own. I give her all the love that I can. But I know it was not enough.

Since her parent's separation, the child could never turn to anyone but to me and my husband. Greg disagree with the idea that Sylvia will take their daughter to Spain. He insisted that Siren should stay with him. But after six months, he remarries a divorced woman with two sons. Making Siren completely left behind.

Now that Siren's gone, Sylvia will never turn to anyone but Greg's new wife. Which I will never disagree. Olivia never shows any affection to Siren. Too bad that Greg's turn a blind eye on it. Even her sons never consider the child as their sibling. They are awful. Both mother and her sons.

"My people are doing everything they can to find her. We just have to be patient here and hope that they can bring her back safe and sound." Greg answered.

Sylvia stood up harshly. Looking impatient. "Well let me tell you that your people were incompetent enough to do their job well!" She burst out.

"Sylvia, won't you calm down?" Olivia tries to use her most will to get in between the two.

"Shut up!" Sylvia snapped at her. "You can calm down because you are not her mother."

"Sylvia!" Greg raised his voice to stop her.

"I was wrong about thinking you can be trusted with our daughter, Greg. I shouldn't leave her here with you!"

"How can you tell me those things? It's you who left her! What an incompetent mother leaving her child just because she's not satisfied with her life as wife!"

A hard slap landed on Greg's face.

I stand up watching the scene in front of me.

"You are now blaming me? Bastardo! Blame yourself for failing as husband and a father." Sylvia could no longer hold her resentment against the man. "You even had the guts to tell me I'm not a good mother? Look at you! After we got our divorce, you marry another woman! You even brought her here in our own house! What a shame!" She shouted right on his face.

I look at Olivia's face. I noticed her gulping her saliva. Her face turned pale just by hearing Sylvia's harsh words towards Greg.

"This is my house and I can bring here whoever I want to live here!"

"Did you forgot about the agreement we signed before we get divorced? If you do, then let me remind you again. Eighty-five percent of your properties are going to be transferred in Siren's name when she turned her legal age. All of the things that you have. Even the company, the money and all the assets belong to our child. She owns everything here. Just to be clear."

Olivia's surprised face look at Sylvia. Looking with disbelief, she opens her mouth but could not say any word.

"I still remember it. You don't have to say that. " Greg's turns a straight face.

I heaved a sigh. "Enough with the both you." I turn to Sylvia. "The problem here is all about Siren. We need to find the child and let's just hope that no matter where she is right now she will be safe and sound."

"Mrs. Harold is right. We need to find Siren as soon as possible." Says Olivia.

"I'm giving you only one week to find our daughter. You will not going to like it if you won't be able to bring her back in time." Then Sylvia left. Leaving Greg and Olivia looking desperate.

FELIX POV

I listen carefully to what my mom had told me. Looking at her disturbed face right now, I can tell she was really stress at this time.

"You should help your Uncle Greg find his daughter, Felix." She said.

"But mom, why would I waste my time with that idiot?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Felix, you don't understand." She aggressively faced me. "We need to find her as soon as possible and bring her back. If I knew this could happen, I must have shown her love and affection before."

I look at her with a doubtful look. I already knew she disliked Siren as soon as she met her. Why the sudden change?

"You're impossible."  I shake my head while smirking.

"Listen. We need to get her back before Greg does."

"But why? I thought you prefer living here without her?"

" You really don't get it." She said. "Sylvia said that all of these things belongs to her brat. And basically, all of your Uncle's property and possession will be put under her name." She lowered her voice as if someone is eavesdropping behind us.

"What!?"

"You heard it right. Even the business. As long as it's under Greg's name will be owned by his daughter when she took his position even before her dad's death."

"I can't believe it!" I exclaimed. "Uncle will never do this to us. I'm sure he had a possession that will be given to you. The company? What about the company?"

"We are way too late to change things. Greg only had fifteen percent left in all his assets. Just enough for his retirement. Even before we get married, they already made his will of testaments."

Being shocked with what I heard is an understatement. I can't believe what I just heard from my mom. So it means that whenever Siren will decide to takeover on everything that her dad owns, we will just going to be a used toy that she can put over to one side out of her way? There's no way we can own something from Uncle Greg. Even mom bare his son from their marriage, he could not still take anything just like Siren.

Who would think that? But I don't still get why mom wants to bring her back .

"So what's your plan now?" I asked her.

"For now, the only thing we can do is to bring her back home. Be nice to her and do any possible things than can make her like us. We need to win her sympathy. It's the only way."

That's a great idea, she thought.

Come to think of it. Mom has her point. If we can make ourselves close to that brat, maybe we can do a little magic about mom's inheritance.

Knowing Siren, she's not like any other spoiled-brat who has bad temper. We grew up under the same roof that's why I knew her very well.

"Okay. I'll do everything I can do."

"Thanks, son."

Well, mom only knows one way to get what she wants. But not me. I had more plans in mind.

CONRAD'S POV

There's no much of activities since my family are busy preparing a party for mom's birthday.  It will be held in an expensive hotel and the women in our family spend their time doing a good job out there. Making it all perfect as possible.

I got a sight of a familiar figure sitting on the bench in the garden when I walk out to the terrace. She's so busy with her phone and I wonder why mom left her here instead of taking her out as her assistant.

Honestly, her job doesn't fit her. I could say that she's different from any other helpers I've seen. Aside from her bad habits of cursing and speaking her native language everytime, she also barely talks about herself. Mom and every one in the house notices her being a slight domineering too.

Though they find her cocky and weird, I find her the opposite way.

Yeah she's cocky and bold when she speaks about herself sometimes. Just like how she says that she don't need any wealthy man to come to her because they are the ones who gonna beg for her attention. Sounds cool, right? Haha...

But on the other side, it's just happen that she never got a good education. If she does, she'll be a one of a hell-ass gold digger. I know her kind. Women like her were nothing but Just a pretty face. But I'll admit, I'm getting into her sweet appearance. She has  looks that everyone will turn their heads twice. And I'm just a man. A man who has needs. And needs that I need her to fulfill. I know I am being a perv whenever I'm seeing her. I always want to gaze at her round-bump and hell knows how much I've been dying to touch it.

From that night I kissed her for the first time, I already had this feeling of making her mine. But she always fought with every chances that I take. And its making me more crazier and crazier.

Like now. Even just by looking at her, I want to crush her skin into my own.

Before I could think of any nasty things with her, I shook my head and swallowed hard.

I sniffed some air until I felt my lungs were full then exhaled.

"Reena!" I called her loudly.

An annoyed look faced me upwards. I smirk. Very much like her.
