RAVEN'S POV

I froze staring at him in shock. What the hell was he talking about? Fein clearly died in the hands of the Lycans. Why was he trying to change the story?

“I know it's hard to believe but you have to believe me,” he Insisted.

“You should have stopped at ‘i know it's hard to believe it's” I growled, mu fists clenched tightly. He was crossing his limit now.

“Raven, your anger is justified but the Lycans didn't do it, this I can boldly tell, Raven, misinformation can lead to much bigger problem.”

I scoffed loudly, shaking my head in disbelief. He might look hotter but he definitely has gone crazy. Was he even listening to what was coming out of his mouth.

“Raven,” he called again, his eyes firm. “I know you have no cause to believe me on this but I need you to , please. There is another problem in the palace— a problem that might be working for the Lycans, we need that person.”

I walked closer, placing a hand on his forehead and nodding my head as if confirming that he was

Raven’s POV. I could still hear the noise of the banquet far away, but here, everything was calm. I sat on the bed, one hand on my stomach. The door creaked open and Damien walked in. His face looked serious, and his eyes filled with anger.“You should have said something to her,” Draven growled. “She shouldn't have spoken to you like that.”I laughed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “Like she would have said something nicer because I was the Alpha?” “I will make sure she apologises to you, I promise.” That got another laugh from me. “Don’t push your step mother too far,” I turned to face him. “Step mothers don't like being pushed too far.”“She should know her place,” he growled. “They all should. And as long as you are my wife, I will make sure they pay for all the insults.”“I don't care,” I muttered, taking a deep breath. “I don’t care, it will all soon be over.”He frowned at me, his jaw tightening. “If you insist, but right now, you should focus on your health.”I smiled fain

Raven's pov The palace was filled with noise. Servants rushed around, carrying trays of food, baskets of flowers, and stacks of gold-rimmed plates. The scent of roasted meat drifted from the kitchens while the guards moved around trying to keep order.Draven’s wife, Lady Helena, stood in the middle of the hall, her sharp eyes darting from one servant to another. She pointed at the curtains with anger.“Those drapes are crooked. Fix them. And the flowers—do they look like they belong in a palace or a cheap market?” she snapped, her voice ringing with disapproval. The servants bowed quickly and adjusted everything in haste. Still, nothing seemed to please her.Draven entered the hall just then, the servants bowed their heads in respect as he walked past them. His eyes swept over the decorations, his face twisting into irritation.“This is unacceptable,” he growled. “This is supposed to be a celebration, not a village feast.”Lady Helena let out a scoff, disbelief etched on her face. “Th

  • She's the Alpha    The mother's return.

Raven's pov. I stared at the woman in front of me, I wasn't willing to accept that this woman was my mother. It made no complete sense. Although no one claimed to have seen her being beheaded, the rumors were as clear as never before. "The traitor, Alpha Rowan's mother, has finally been beheaded and her remains were fed to the dogs” That was the news that circulated around and it didn't look impossible for Draven. In fact what sent shivers down my spine the most was that Draven didn't kill my mother. “I’m not a ghost,” she reassured me with a smile. Ghosts don't exactly give orders. I kinda figured that out on my own. Thank you very much. “How are you doing?’ She asked, reaching for my hand. I moved away, my eyes widened in alarm. My eyes locked on her like a predator surveilling its prey. I should have been happy to see her but instead I was freaked out. Thanks to Draven's inconsistency in his cruelty. “You don’t need to be scared of me,” she smiled. Too late. “Raven, I kno

  • She's the Alpha    Born of betrayal.

Raven’s pov. My whole world crumbled at his words. It felt like the ground had been pulled from under me. My chest ached so badly I could hardly breathe. The room spun around me, the walls closing in, and all I could hear was Damien’s voice echoing in my head: You killed Kai.I pressed my palms against my ears, shaking my head over and over as if I could block it out, as if I could erase the truth. My heart was breaking piece by piece, and every breath burned. Tears blurred my vision until everything turned into shapeless shadows.“No… no…” I whispered again, my voice cracking. I couldn’t stop the sobs that tore from my throat. My hands trembled as I clutched at my chest, clawing at my own skin like I could rip the guilt out."No," I cried out, pressing my hand on my mouth. All this time, I have resented Draven and Allen for killing Kai without knowing I was the culprit. Damien let out a sigh. "It always disgusts me each time I see you torn because of that man," he revealed, his vo

  • She's the Alpha    The poison in my veins.

Raven's pov. I was taken back to Damien's room or should I say---- Benjamin's room. I didn’t even know what to believe anymore. I do agree that I have never tried to dig into Damien’s life or past but never had I ever imagined that he was associated with the royals or better still Draven. The Draven's part was the craziest. How the hell is Damien, Draven's child?I paced around the room, biting down my fingers like tiny candies. My head filled with unsettling thoughts. I still couldn't believe it. I couldn't accept that the only person that i thought i had was actually the one holding the knife. Oh, how much he must have mocked me for explaining how I would kill Benjamin. He must have laughed till his chest hurt when I told him about Kai. "Argh!" I screamed, pulling my hair. I couldn't control it anymore. How could Damien do this to me? How long has he been plotting to kill me? Did he ever love? Was I ever a friend to him? Do I really know the man I considered and still consider

  • She's the Alpha    When names kill

Raven’s POVMy breath caught in my throat as I saw Damien surrounded by guards. His eyes flicked toward me, calm but unreadable. Benjamin's lips curled into a faint smirk. "Don’t just stand there," he said, his voice dripping with mockery. I scoffed, lifting my chin up in pride. There was no point trying to escape. And neither could I fight the guards. The only thing I could do was let them take me in pride and honor. Like it mattered. I was still going to escape. “Well, well,” he drawled, watching me with keen interest as I walked closer like I was some kind of amusement to be displayed. “So it’s true. You’re Raven.” His gaze swept over me slowly, up and down, like I was prey caught in his trap. Then he laughed. “I still can’t believe that no one knew you were a woman.”"Mad that a woman was your leader?" I mocked. He shook his head. "I find it amusing actually. It's----" he paused, trying to find the perfect word. "Interesting." He tilted his head, grinning wider. “Almost thirt
