Kai’s POV

I sat on the river bank, water lapping gently at my feet, but my mind was far from calm. My mind was still on Lara.

Every time I thought about her, my stomach twisted. She had been watching Raven like a hawk, sweet words on her lips, poison in her heart.

If she found out about us—Raven and me—she would kill her without hesitation. I might not admit it but I was really scared of Lara.

We have been betrothed for years, and I have seen her kill countless women who tried to make a move on me…that was how obsessed she was with me.

The only thing stopping her from killing Raven is me, and I'm not sure how long I can delay the inevitable.

Raven had to die, if I don't go through with the plan, Lara would, and if I manage to stop Lara from going through with the plan, my father would Fein send someone else to do it.

I let out a sigh, unsure of what to do. I was torn into two parts. One part was still connected to my people. I had one goal, one responsibility…Destroy the wolves

  • She's the Alpha    End to a madness.

Kai’s POVI screamed loudly as Fein whipped me with a long vein of wolfsbane twisted to form a long, strong and painful whip. I'm a Lycan…a strong one but I have to admit, this special whip had something…it was fucking brutal. My wrists were chained to the ceiling, my toes barely touching the cold ground. Blood dried on my body, I was almost losing it. I have been here for two days and every breath I took hurt like hell. Fein stood in front of me, staring at me like I was some animal to break. He whipped me again, my fangs sank into my lips. My head jerked back as pain flooded through my veins.“Where are the others?” he barked.I spat blood at his feet. “Raven’s going to die, Fein. And the Lycans will rise. That’s all that matters.”He punched me again, this time in the ribs. I groaned but kept smiling.“You sick bastard,” he growled. “I can't believe we fell for you tricks, all this time, you have been the one behind this.”I laughed, still trying to catch my breath. “The wolves

  • She's the Alpha    Almost an end.

Kai’s POVI left the palace as soon as I heard Raven was poisoned. The palace was thrown into chaos, just big enough for me to slip out unnoticed. I had to get to the border before anyone realizes I'm missing, and by anyone I mean Damien who has been spying on me lol a fool. After a few hours of endless walking, I finally got to the place I was supposed to meet with the man my father sent. A man stepped out from behind the trees. He looked older than I remembered. He was one of my father's trusted and loyal servants and also one of the people who hated me. He hated the way I do things, the way I talk, the way people fear and praise me and most importantly he hated me for taking his daughter's virginity. Not my fault though, she was very attractive and she wanted it more than I did. “Kai,” he said, smiling as he walked toward me. “It’s good to see you again.”That's a lie. And yeah, I almost forgot, he hated me because his son's wife fell in love with me and tried to kill her husb

Author's pov. The moment Raven hit the ground, everything stopped.“Raven!” Damien shouted, catching her just before her head struck the marble floor.Blood trickled from her lips as she convulsed in his arms, her skin turning deathly pale. The music had stopped. The room was filled with gasps and frozen stares. “Rav…Rowan,” Damien called, patting her face but no response. “Rowan, open your eyes, please don't do this,” he shouted, his voice filled with tears. “Move!” Damien barked, lifting her limp body and pushing past the crowd.“Make way!” someone yelled.Theodora froze watching from a distance, her feet were stuck to the ground as she stared in disbelief. “Raven,” she muttered. As if those words were her reboot button, she rushed to her daughter. “Take her to her chambers!” Theodora snapped.Damien increased his steps, rushing to her room. Guards cleared the way. Some of the Alphas followed, their curiosity outweighing their manners. Raven coughed more blood onto Damien’s ch

Raven’s POVI sat still on the edge of my bed, the message carved into my arm glowing faintly in the moonlight. “The storm is coming.” My fingers hovered over the wound, not touching it but feeling every pulse of pain shoot up to my shoulder. It was no dream.“What the fuck are you?” I muttered, my eyes never leaving it. At least I figured out how the message appeared on my arm, although I still had no idea how my other hand betrayed me and carved a horror story theme on my arm. “What do you think it is?” Leslie asked. “If I had figured that out, I wouldn't have spent the last two days staring at my arm.”“You should talk to someone,” she suggested and I was getting tired of hearing that song because we both knew the next line that came after that and that was ‘No’“And tell them what? That I carved this shit on my arm in my sleep? Yeah, that sounds normal.”“It's worth a chance.”“It's probably nothing.”“I'm your wolf you can't lie to me.”“Raven,” a voice said behind me.I flinch

Raven’s PovI was watching the newbies from a distance, I have grown more restless as the days passee by. And the newbies were not making things easy for me, or better said, few of them were as fragile as a cricket.I know they were only like two percent but that two percent is more than enough for the Lycan Lord army to tear us down. We might have won the last battle… barely but one thing is for sure, the Lycan Lord would not sit still. Like my mother always say, it's never truly over until it is over. And it wasn't over, the Lycan Lord is still alive and his son…if his son is half of what people say, he might already be in the Kingdom, waiting for the right time to strike. He might even be among my warriors. “Rowan,” Fein called walking over. “What are you doing here this fine morning?”“Any news about patrol?” I asked not even looking at him. “Patrol is fine, it's great.”I turned to him with a frown. “You know what I mean.”“I might have lost a hand but that doesn't make me any

  • She's the Alpha    Fire on fire.

Kai’s POVI wasn’t in the mood to see anyone, let alone her.But fate, or whatever sick joke the moon goddess was playing, decided to throw Lara right in my path. She stood at the far end of the hall, her arms crossed, eyes burning like she was about to shift on the spot. Her mouth was set in a line that screamed betrayal. I didn’t need a mind reader to know what was coming.“Kai,” she growled.I kept walking, not sparing her a glance as I increased my pace, I had so much to worry about. I still had to figure out what Draven was planning against my princess, if anyone should have the pleasure of killing her, it should be me…not yet. I still had a lot of things to do with her. Lara increased her pace, catching up with me. She walked to my front, blocking my path. Her hand hit my chest. “You fucking traitor.”I sighed, rubbing my jaw with one hand. “Lara. Not now.”She slapped me. Hard. “You’ve been screwing her, haven’t you? Don't even try to deny it, I saw everything.”I smirked, m
