Raven’s POV

“Something is definitely off,” I paused, taking a quick glance around. “Kai is definitely hiding something.”

“I could feel someone's presence but I couldn't pick up a scent,” Leslie confirmed.

“We should go back,” I said, turning around immediately and went back. I got to the place, looking around but there was no sign of Kai or anyone, even the maids were surprisedly not around the area.

“Where could he have gone to?” I muttered, still looking around.

“Maybe we should check his room,’’ Leslie suggested. I nodded in agreement and turned towards the direction of the sentinels quarters.

I was halfway down the hallway when I heard voices…his voice, and a woman’s. I walked closer to the room, trying to recognize the voice but it didn't ring a bell.

I walked quietly to the door, my heartbeat loud in my ears. The door was shut, taking in deep breaths, I slowly opened the door and walked in quietly so I could catch them in the act…even though I didn't know what to be expect

  • She's the Alpha    Poisoned truth..

KAI'S POV. It has been days now that Lara moved in, she insisted on working as a maid for Raven claiming she doesn't want to live as a leach and I would say, I almost bought the facade. Lara was definitely up to something…something that had to do with getting closer to Raven and I knew it was a move driven by jealousy. Women just won't learn to accept the word ‘No’. Lara was a beautiful girl, she came from the line of great Lycan warriors, so she had great strength, the brain, the wit…she had everything benefitting for a god like me but she was just a fuck doll to me, nothing more. I looked down at the pile of documents on my desk, and taking over from Kade has been nothing but stressful. I don't know how anyone can even survive watching the newbies fight. They fought like wolves afraid of seeing their claws, wolves afraid to see their beast reflection or hear themselves growl…seriously they were as dumb ad fuck. This was definitely the best time to strike and it would be the fa

  • She's the Alpha    A kiss before chaos

Kai’s POVZara leaned her back against the wall, her fingers toying with the collar of my shirt like she owned me. Well, technically she did own me at some point. She was my mate back at home but we were never really in love…or should I say, I never loved her. She was just a sex tool, someone I call each time I wanted pleasure and she was a lady I trusted would carry my bloodline…until I meant Raven. “So,” she purred, stepping closer, “how’s the little plan going?”I leaned against the table, arms crossed. “Almost too easy.”Zara raised an eyebrow. “You don’t say.”I smirked, flickering my eyes away. “Werewolves are fools, and after watching them for three years, I found out that the Alpha is the only thing keeping this place intact.”“All power hungry fools,” Zara added, walking over me. “I don't think they are even worthy to be our slaves.”I chuckled, nodding my head in agreement. “The impure Lycan was smart, I would give him that, too bad he wasn't smart enough to know his place

  • She's the Alpha    The buried truth.

Author's pov. Fein kept chuckling as he and Damien walked down the gravel path that led back toward the barracks, his voice echoing. “She still thinks she’s running a damn kingdom. 'I need warriors, not corpses!'” Fein mimicked Raven in a high-pitched voice, tossing his one good hand in the air dramatically.Damien ignored him, increasing his pace. Fein glanced at him sideways. “You okay?”“I’m fine,” Damien quickly without sparing him a glance. Fein rolled his eyes. “You’ve been ‘fine’ for ten years. Always fine, I’m starting to think you’re made of stone.”“I’ve got work to do.”Fein stopped walking. “Right. Of course. You always do,” he said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. “Goddess forbid Damien sits and has a drink like a normal guy.”Damien turned slightly, his brow raised. “What do you want, Fein?”“A damn drink with my friend. That too much to ask?”Damien stared at him for a while before letting out a sigh. Fein crossed his arms. “You never open up, man. Not really. Yo

  • She's the Alpha    The devil's promise.

Kai’s POVRaven was already pacing the training field when Fein, Damien, and I joined her, she bit her fingers like she hadn't eaten for days, her jaw clenched like she’d been grinding her teeth for hours.Fein leans closer. “Something tells me that I won't like what's going on in her head,” he whispered. “Why is that?” I chuckled. “That's a ‘who will I give the work to' or a ‘who is fit for the job' kind of look, different look for different things,” he explained. I nodded, scanning Raven's face but all I could see was one worried princess. She turned to us. “What are you doing? You guys are late.”“Usually, we take a week's rest after war, why should this time be different, especially when it was more brutal?” Damien defended. “Exactly, we’re not ready,” she said. “If the Lycan Lord strikes again, we’ll be ripped apart before the gates even close.”“Told you,” Fein whispered. “Raven, you should be resting,” Damien said with all seriousness. I hated the way he talks to her.

  • She's the Alpha    The woman on the boat.

Author's povThe boat moved smoothly across the water, pushing through small waves as the night wind blew. The sky was full of clouds, and the hidden moon shone on the sea, making the lake look cold and silvery. The ship was carrying different people, traders, travelers, and a few drunk men who stayed close together, talking in low voices, like kids sharing scary stories at night.A woman stood at the edge of the boat. Her long black cloak fluttered around her legs, the hood hiding most of her face. She remained calm, not bothered by the storm and the water splashing. Behind her were three men who were arguing like men fighting for money or girls, but they were actually fighting each other to make their stories stick. Each man had his own opinion about how the war went and they all wanted their stories to be the real one. The woman stood still, carefully listening to their conversation. “Swear to the moon goddess, I saw him shift mid-battle, his eyes turned gold—pure gold!”“You
