Thirteen

Mila stood back with her friends watching Kaia trying to find with her daughter but, Maryse wasn't having it. She kept running to her dad and grandma.

Eventually, she stopped trying. She had gotten a couple of pictures of both of them and she was satisfied with that. That was the main reason she decided to come home.

“ Isn't she ashamed of herself?” Raine asked out of the blue.

“ Nope, the Kaia I know is not ashamed of anything. She knows what she wants and goes after it without hesitation.” Mila explained as Kaia walked happily out of the party.

She was not planning on staying for long. She had more important things to take care of than wasting it on a stupid birthday party.

“ Enough about Kaia, what's new with you and Hayes? Is the Mayes ship sailing or sinking?” Willow asked. It was two more weeks before her wedding and she couldn't be any more excited than she already was.
