Nix’s voice screamed through my mind. “AMY! LISTEN TO US.”

Megan screamed next. “Why won’t she listen to us?”

“Amy!” Toya caught me. She grabbed my arm and spun me around. I had to stop myself from attacking her; my mind was half crazed. Something was wrong. Really wrong. “Where are you going? We need to get to your father’s pack lands.” I could hear the worry in her voice, and that made my mind settle. She grabbed my face. “Stop it.” I tried to pull away again. Toya slapped me, catching me off guard.

“What the fuck, Toya.” I growled.

“You were panicking, Amy. More than you should be unless you know something we don’t.” Rowan grabbed for me, and I felt a calm settle over me. The panic I was feeling was still there, but it was dulled, like there was a thick comforter thrown over it.

“What are you talking about?”

Amy, Nix called out. Megan and I were both trying to speak to you but you didn’t hear us.

Megan nodded. We felt your panic, but you had never ignored us like that before.

wow Pamela ... top notch empathy there believe it or not, some people are that sometimes they can go months ir years with no drama and then get plagued by drama. it doesn't make it excuse. there's some other good stories on here, go read those till this book has several chapters out
