The night had passed without incident.

Victoria sat on the sofa, nearly nodding off several times.

In the early morning, the sound of a door opening stirred her from her drowsiness. She sat upright, eyes fixed on the entrance.

The door soon swung open, and a slightly flustered Johanna's voice came from outside.
