Chapter 64 - Desperate

3rd Person's POV

Gabbie continued her steps towards him, carrying the most usual look she can gather. "I was worried you've left already," she sighed out of relief.

"W-What are you doing here?"

"Me? I'm fetching you, what else?" She then grabbed his polo and reached it to him. She is cognizant enough that she's too natural to be true as if this isn't the first time they saw each other after six long months. But she cares less about it, she will act this way.

Xander observed her demeanor for some time until he snatched his polo from her and continued his outfit change in her front. He was not saying anything.

Gabbie then attempted to help with his buttons but Xander looked away. "I can do it," he faintly stated.

"Yeah, sure. Uhm, then I'll just get your shoes," she offered again and tried to get them but Xander was fast enough to take them first. "No need," he is still sounding austere.
