Chapter 7

Present...

Angela gaped at his massive shoulders as he dragged her from there. Her eyes narrowed and she tried to free her wrist.

Angela didn't think of the consequences at all. This was Luca she was dealing with. She should've thought about the aftermath, but she didn't. It completely slipped her mind. But it wasn't like he could hurt her or anything.

She didn't understand the fear that began to coil in the bottom of her belly.

"Let go of me," She demanded tugging at her hand, but his hold was ferocious to the point she was sure he would bruise her skin.

If Angela weren't drunk, she would've fought him tooth and nail but at that moment she couldn't fight him.

"You're hurting me," She clawed at his hand and his hold on her loosened.

Angela didn't wait a second before she freed her hand and dashed in the opposite direction. She hurried to the back door and stepped out, inhaling the cool air deeply.

A loud gasp left her lips when a hand appeared behind her and clasped her hair in a fist.

Her neck arched and her face was to the sky as she clutched the brutal hand in her hair to free herself when Luca came to stand in front of her in the dark alley.

He looked like the very essence of the deadly fury.

"Let go of me," She demanded with mustered-up courage.

Angela faintly heard the door closing behind her and with that, the loud music dimmed out like a fading lullaby behind her.

"Let go, you're hurting me," She pushed his hand away and he let her go willingly.

Angela glared at him. "Are you a caveman?" she asked sharply. She noticed his cold steel eyes that resembled the dark storm lingered down her body and she felt goosebumps rising on her flesh when his dark gaze met her eyes again.

"What the f*ck are you wearing?" He growled and she flinched back. Her eyes went wide at the outrage in his deep voice.

"D... Dress," She whispered in a small voice, dropping her eyes to the floor, involuntarily she began to rub her palm on the side of her dress.

His nose flared when he noticed two men behind her smoking and staring at her behind.

Luca grabbed her wrist and tugged her behind him, earning a gasp from her.

He met the eyes of those men. "F*ck off," He menaced lowly causing them to flinch. He felt Angela tensing behind him.

He was tempted to beat those f*ckers for looking at Angela with those hungry eyes, but he needed to take her away from that place first.

Dragging her to his car he shoved her in the passenger seat, covering her head, making sure she wouldn't bump her head as he slammed the door afterwards.

Luca got in the driver's seat and put the car to drive speeding down the road.

His grip on the steering wheel was so damn strong to the point she thought he'd crush the wheel. Angela noticed bruises on his knuckles which were slowly healing. Did he hit a wall or something in his fit of rage?

She innocently blinked at those veins popping out of his arms and spreading like a web on his big scary hands.

"Luca-"

"Don't." He boomed. "We'll talk once we get home. Until then you stay as quiet as possible."

She sealed her lips shut and placed an index finger on her lips blinking ahead at the road.

He faintly glanced at her, and his jaw ticked while inhaling alcohol on her. His temper skyrocketed recalling how she wasn't scared of a male touch when she was drunk.

She didn't even remember half the things she did under the influence of alcohol.

Angela kept her mouth shut and finger on her lips throughout the ride home. Luca pulled over the car and he didn't even fully stop when she flung the door open and hurried into the house.

She glanced back at him over her shoulder while she fumbled with the key. Angela stepped inside and tried to close the door hoping she could lock it in time but before the door closed, a hand slammed on the door forcing it open and she stumbled back.

Luca stepped inside, closed the door behind him, and locked it. Angela stepped back, stumbling and tripping but he grabbed her arm, saving her.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. Let me go," she said, trying to free her arm, but he wasn't having it. In one swift move, he hauled her up on his shoulder earning a shriek from her.

His hand landed on her bare upper thighs, and he stiffened quickly moving his hand down to the back of her knees to keep her secured in his shoulder.

Angela punched his back, struggling to get free. "What are you doing? Put me down," she demanded as he gently put her on the island counter.

Luca grabbed her ankles one by one to take off her heels as she watched him. His eyes were focused on the task while her gaze was focused on him. Once he was done, he put the heels down and stepped back from her. Crossing his arms over his chest he regarded her with a cold glare.

Luca waited outside her university like a damned idiot. Everyone left and it was just him in the parking lot waiting for her. Her car was there so he was certain she wouldn't leave without it but he was wrong.

When the reality of her fooling him settled in. He searched her location, and her last location was at the backside of the university.

Luca went back home, and she wasn't there. Luckily, he got Daphne's number in the morning. He called her and inquired about all the places Angela could be. From there he got Maeve's and Milo's address and numbers. He got his men tracking their numbers and got the location of the club.

When he got there, he was swarmed by the number of people dancing on the floor. He inhaled deeply trying to locate her scent, but he couldn't find her which was absurd.

Luca got to the VIP section on the second floor where he could peer at the people dancing on the dance floor. He sensed someone approaching him. He turned to find a girl in a pink dress smiling at him and walking his way. He scowled, giving her a cold look and she instantly stopped, her smile fading away as she went the other way.

Luca focused back on the dance floor when a girl in blood red caught his attention. Not only his, but a couple of men in the VIP section were staring solely at her. The way she moves her body-

He stiffened; his eyes widened when that girl threw her head back smiling sweetly unaware of the magnetic force she possessed.

Angela.

"Damn, she's hot." The guy standing a few feet away from him said he was holding a glass of wine in his hand and staring down at Angela with those disgusting eyes.

"What did you say?" Luca seethed and the guy raised a brow at him smirking. "I said that chick is hot-" He was saying while raising his glass in her direction when Luca landed a solid punch at him. It was so powerful that the man was knocked out on the spot. His glass crashed on the floor as a few of the girls gasped and the men hurried forward to stop him.

Luca marched out of there and shoved past the sweaty bodies to get to the little troublemaker who'd pay for pulling this stunt on him.

Now as he stared at her sitting on the counter with bare legs and a small dress that clung to her body like a second skin showing more than necessary, he felt mad.

More than that, he felt a pull that was f*cking forbidden for him. The way she looked at him with those big forest eyes full of fear and uncertainty as she fidgeted with her fingers while chewing on her bottom lip. He inhaled sharply.

"Why didn't you go home with me? Be honest," His voice was deep and deadly low which only meant business.

"I... I was vengeful. You used to make me wake up at 5 for training and you always showed up at 6. I wanted to make you wait the whole day just so I could say, 'Karma is a b*tch, baby'" she said in a small voice, her eyes fixed on her lap.

Luca refrained from rolling his eyes. What was she? A kid.

"What are you wearing?"

"C... Can't you see? It's a dress. Did your eyesight worsen in the last 5 years? Are you having difficulty in seeing what I'm wearing-?" She was blabbering because she was drunk.

"I can see what you are wearing. It's too inappropriate. It's showing too much skin. You're just a kid-"

She gasped. Her eyes snapped at him. "A kid? I'm a 19-year-old woman. Are you blind?"

"You're drunk." He gritted.

"So what? It's nice. You should drink too." She said in a serious tone with those wide eyes, slightly leaning forward.

His eyes dropped to her chest, and the slight skin of her breast had his eyes glued on it before he forced his gaze away cursing under his breath and rubbing a hand down his face.

"Go to your room and change. I'm not done talking. Get your ass back here once you're in proper attire," He grumbled coldly.

Luca heard a light thump of her feet on the floor, he expected her to walk away but he stiffened feeling a hand on his shoulder.

He refused to turn around. "You could've gotten hurt. The people in this world are not so nice. If you wanted to have fun then at least you could have avoided the drinks, just so you could fight if someone tried to hurt you but you-" He stopped when she tugged at his arm and turned him around.

Luca looked down at her, he forced his eyes to stay on her eyes. At that moment he felt such a sinner for looking at that innocent girl like that. He was losing his mind.

"Why are you so mad at me? Please don't be mad. Be nice to me," she said looking at him with those big doe eyes that had him taking a step back because weirdly his hands were itching to touch her, and he had his hands balled into fists in his pockets.

"You're drunk. You won't remember anything that you're saying. Go to your room, we'll talk tomorrow," he said and her eyebrows scrunched.

"You still hate me?" She mumbled.

"I don't hate you."

"You're very scary." She whispered.

"I'd take that as a compliment."

"That's not a compliment." She mumbled.

"Can you please hug me? I'm not going to remember it anyway," She slurred trying to hug him but he grabbed her shoulders stopping her.

"Angela," He rasped in his deep voice.

"I like it when you say my name like that." She smiled softly.

His eyes darkened as he gulped to wet his parched throat. What the f*ck was he supposed to say to that when she looked so f*cking tempting and small. Vulnerable.

"Do you remember what you said to me that night five years ago? You broke me. And here I am still wanting to kiss you," she said standing on her toes.

Angela meshed their lips together taking him off guard.
