Chapter 30

Eva lived alone as her parents died when she was twenty and now, it had been five years since that incident. She had no siblings which meant this house was all to herself. When I was leaving for Italy, she was in a relationship but six months earlier, she had to break up with him because she caught him cheating on her. My poor Eva. She didn’t deserve it at all. 

Eva unlocked the main door and opened it, letting me inside first. It was cosy inside, I huffed in relief. Thank God, I wouldn’t be dying in the cold tonight. She took me to the lounge and turned on the dimmed yellow lights. “Would you like something? A cup of coffee? Glass of wine? Or even simple water?” Eva asked as she turned on the television and fished out the CW channel.
