Lucian

As I gazed out the tinted windows and saw her exiting the restaurant with a radiant, sun kissed carefree smile on her face, my hands clenched, my fingers tightened around the steering wheel. I felt a surge of anger within me. It wasn’t just about what her brother had done, It was about the fact she got to live a privileged life.

Why does she get to be so happy while my sister is miserable after what her b*st*rd brother did to her?

Sienna Morreti, 25 years old, is completing her residency program to become a nurse. Guess that matches her generous nature that Adrian would often brag about.

Adrian and I practically grew up together, but he always kept his sister away from everyone, including me. A wise decision on his part; he probably always knew what kind of person I would become.

She'd always been breathtakingly stunning with elegant long, wavy hair and soft hazel eyes that always sparked with innocence. I had often caught her hiding by the stairs, trying to peek at us whenever I had visited Adrian at his house. Seeing her now become a woman and maturing is interesting, but something I learned after all this time is that all beautiful people are rotten to their core no matter how they try to present themselves.

A bitter taste rose in my mouth as I watched her bid goodbye to a petite blond- haired girl and enter her luxurious car. Moving on with her life completely unaware of what I had planned for her.

Adrian will soon experience what I felt after I'm done with his sister, whom he loves so much. His betrayal cut too deep.

He was supposed to be my brother.

But I’ll have to get over it.

I’ll show you, I'll show you exactly what I felt soon.

After giving her one last look, I drove off.

                   ******************

That evening, I sat in my office signing off on paperwork when there were three knocks on the door that broke the silence. I knew who it was before the door opened.

Nico, my right-hand man, It was ironic that I needed him now because up until last year, I didn't need one as Adrian and I did all the work ourselves, but after his betrayal, I needed to take some precautions.

“I’ve got some news, boss, our northwest warehouse has been hit,” Nico said. “It was Adrian again,” he added, his expression grim.

I sighed with frustration. This game has been going on since I first bombed his biggest warehouse. I also left a note telling him that I was coming for more after finding out what he did. The audacity he has for retaliation after what he’s done.

“Send the men to his east warehouse and tell me when the job is done,” I said with almost no emotion on my face.

There are some perks when your greatest friend turns into your enemy; you know all their secret bases.

“But boss, we need to do something big this time; it can’t go on like this,” Nico urged.

“I already have a plan,” I said casually.

Nico’s eyes narrowed. “Are you going to share this plan with us anytime soon?”

“And are you ever going to tell me what went down between you two to end up like this?”

The last thing I'm going to do is tell everyone what happened to my sister. She made me promise not to tell anyone, saying her reputation would be damaged if it got out.

Our Mafia world, though, is in the 21st century, but the people’s minds still work the old way. Valeria already gets so many looks from women at brunch for not getting married yet. I know many of my men think that way too, but they know they can’t say sh*t in front of me.

One thing Adrian and I promised was that we wouldn’t let the women in our families go through the generational suffering and would always protect each other's family. It turns out he broke the promise first.

I have no idea when he turned so vindictive and ruthless, but now I know I'm going to ruin him.

“That's my business; all you need to know is he took something important from me,” I replied.

“Come on, man, tell me,” he spouted out.

My eyes narrowed at his tone. Nico was my first cousin. He does his job well, but sometimes his actions show his immaturity and age.

“Alright, alright, I won’t ask again. You don’t have to be so scary with me,” he grinned.

Another thing? He isn't scared of me at all like others, which he knows bugs me a lot.

“All this bloodshed is getting to everyone’s head, so we’re all going to the bar later tonight. You can come too after you’re done brooding,” Nico says with a mocking smile on his face.

“Get out before I shoot you.”

His laughter echoed as he left.

As soon as the door closed, I opened my laptop and opened the Tracker app. I ordered someone to discreetly slip a tiny tracker in little Moretti's purse. For now this will do. Soon I’ll find a way to put a tracker on her phone too.

She’s at home considering it's nighttime, and Adrian doesn’t let his little princess work shifts after sunrise.

What's more surprising is that she convinced her brother to let her go out without her guards, which I thought was a bad move on his part. Knowing men like me are out there, ready and waiting to strike his weak spots. She seems like the perfect way to do that.

Though I'm surprised, he’d always hidden her when she was younger but now has given her a lot of freedom, which is considered taboo in our world.

Maybe little Moretti also has a streak for manipulation in her.

I've been watching her for a while. I know everything about her. I know her daily routine, her social circle, and her favorite place to be, which is an art gallery not too far from where she works. I'm even familiar with her hobbies. I left nothing.

I'm going to use anything and everything to get close to her, get her trust, and make her love me.

Once I have her where I want, I'll destroy her, shattering her heart into a million pieces in the most ruthless way. I will leave her broken and begging for me, and when she goes crying to her brother. He will know I did this. He'll realize we’re not so different after all, that we’re cut from the same cloth.

  • Sins of The Mafia   Epilogue

Lucian’s POV The sky was the soft color of early evening—lavender fading into rose, the kind that always made the world feel quieter, gentler. A rare calm. A rare moment of peace.A moment I had planned for weeks.Sienna had no idea why I asked her to come up to the rooftop, only that Adrian and Gracie insisted on “borrowing the baby for some bonding time.” They had practically snatched him out of her arms before she could even protest. Now, from where I stood, I could see them below us in the garden—Adrian rocking the tiny bundle with surprising gentleness, and Gracie hovering over him like she was guarding a treasure. But up here… this was our moment. The same house where everything once shattered between us.The same house where I first realized I was in love with her.The same house where I almost lost her forever. It felt right that this was where I’d rebuild everything I broke.Sienna stepped out from behind the access door, her hair loose, her body still fragile from everythin

Sienna's PovMy entire body froze.“What?!” Lucian barked. They carried the baby to the warmer, alarms going off softly. The cry weakened. Turned strained. Labored.“His oxygen saturation is low,” someone said. “Respiratory distress.”No. No no no—“Lucian—” I cried, reaching for him.He squeezed my hand so tight I felt the tremor running through his arm. His voice broke for the first time.“Fix him,” he demanded. “Please—fix my son.”The doctor worked quickly.I couldn’t breathe. “Lucian what’s happening?”He pulled me into his chest, voice shaking. “They’re helping him. He’s strong. He’ll be okay. He has to be.”Our baby let out a weak cry. Then another. The nurse exhaled. “He’s stabilizing. His oxygen levels are improving.”My entire body collapsed in relief.Lucian covered his face with both hands for a moment, shoulders shaking silently, before he leaned down and kissed my forehead over and over.“You did it,” he whispered. "I'm so proud of you."When the nurse finally placed the

Sienna's PovFor the first time in months, I felt… safe.Like maybe I could breathe with him.Like maybe I didn’t have to be so afraid.Lucian sat beside me, eyes tracing my face like he was memorizing every detail. The wind ruffled his hair as he tucked a hand into his pocket.“Sienna,” he said quietly, stepping closer. “I know I’ve messed up. God knows I’ve made choices you hated… choices I hated too. But today—” He swallowed, gaze softening. “I’ll spend the rest of my life giving you days like this. I’ll give you everything. Just… come back to me. Be mine again.”My heart squeezed painfully. He wasn’t pleading. He wasn’t demanding. He was simply… asking.I think about it. Maybe he really is a changed man. Maybe he really does mean everything this time. So after what felt like forever, I finally make up my mind. “Lucian,” I whispered, breath trembling. “I think I’m finally ready to—”A sharp, crippling pain shot through my abdomen.I gasped, nearly doubling over.“Sienna?” Lucian’s

Sienna’s POVLucian casually reaches for a piece of toast — my toast — but instead of placing it on my plate, he lifts it to my mouth.Like we’re alone.Like nothing happened.Like three people are not watching us with wide, stunned eyes.I rear back. “Lucian. What are you—”“Feeding you,” he says, tone maddeningly calm. “You didn’t eat a real dinner last night.”My face heats. “Lucian—no—stop—”The man tilts the toast slightly closer. “Open your mouth.”Ivan chokes on his coffee.Adrian slams his spoon down. “Lucian, she can feed herself.”Lucian doesn’t look away from me. “She’s pregnant. She gets tired. I’m helping.”“You’re being insufferable,” I hiss under my breath. He shrugs, not remotely ashamed. “Then eat so I can be done.”It’s the “be done” that gets me — because he’s not budging. And everyone is staring. And if I fight him more, this will turn into another shouting match. So I glare, grab the toast from his hand, and take a bite on my own just to spite him.He smirks like

Sienna's Pov Everyone stares. Adrian looks furious. Gracie looks like she’s witnessing premium gossip unfold live. Ivan… Ivan looks like someone punched him in the ribs and told him to smile through it. Sienna wants to sink into the floor. Lucian gives a calm, infuriating smile. “Good morning.” The room does NOT respond. Adrian rises from his chair, jaw clenched. “How. Did. You. Get. In.” Lucian shrugs. “I walked in.” He said looking at Gracie with a thankful smile. “You’re not allowed here.” “I’m her husband.” The air cracks. Ivan looks away. Adrian’s eyes flash. I try to intervene, “Lucian, just—” "Yes my love?" He drops a hand round her shoulder, turning his full attention to her, making sure Ivan sees everything. I freezes as heat rushes to my face. “Lucian, stop—” “I’m done being tolerated like a ghost,” he says quietly but firmly. “This is my family too.” Adrian slams his hand on the table. “Your presence stresses her out!” Lucian’s jaw clenches, but instead

  • Sins of The Mafia   Chapter 120

Sienna’s POVSteam curled around me as I stood in front of the bathroom mirror, palms pressed flat against the cool marble. I’d spent the past ten minutes convincing myself that the universe had reset to normal, that last night wasn’t real, and even if it was, surely Lucian would be gone by now.Surely he would be busy. I still can't believe he appeared, messed up my entire equilibrium and kissed the common sense out of me.Chill out, Si! He is still your husband. I took one last steadying breath, tightened the belt of my bathrobe, and pushed open the bathroom door only to pause instantly. "What the-"Lucian was still there. Not “standing casually” still there. Not “leaning by the window” still there. He was sitting on the edge of my bed, elbows braced on his knees, gaze pinned to the door like he’d been waiting for precisely this moment. And when he saw me—His eyes darkened, slow and hungry, sweeping over my damp hair, my flushed cheeks, my robe.My mouth fell open.“You’re still
