Chapter 18

She can’t bear the pain. She held onto Eduardo and refused to let go. He held her close.

“I’m sorry, Amora,” he told her. “I left when you needed me the most. I am going to make you happy.”

He is going to protect her from her abusive husband and father.

Amora deserves more than what she’s getting from everyone. Poor Amora! He lamented.

“What do you mean?” he had asked Camila, his voice trembling.

Camila took a deep breath and said, “It’s not good.” He could see how Camila was trying to hold herself together, “Amora didn’t ask for all these. Now she’s dying away.”

Those sentences made him have hope of saving Amora, it’s better than hearing that she was dead earlier.

There’s no way he would stop blaming himself for what happened to Amora. He said to himself while snuggling Amora closer to his bosom.
