Napadalas ang pagdalaw ko sa mansyon dahil kay manang. I was worried sick. Kahit madalas n’yang sinasabi sa’king wala naman s’yang kakaibang nararamdaman. I ended up staying in my dad’s house.
She was my favorite person. She knew me more than anyone and stood by me when I needed all the support. She was the mother figure I never really had. Come to think of it, I never knew my mother. Ni walang nasabi si dad. He never mentioned her once.
Dad was busy as usual. I haven’t seen him even in dinner time. Minsan lang magtagpo kami sa iisang lugar. We haven’t talked after what happened in El Toro. SPECIAL CHAPTER “B-babe,” The moment I opened my eyes, Sioux was staring at me worriedly. He was sitting on the edge of the bed, and grabbed a glass of water in the bedside table. Sioux helped me up as I drank the water. Pawisan ako nang malamig. It wasn’t because of the air-conditioned room, but with the nightmare I had. Muli akong napaiyak sa pagbaha ng alaala. SPECIAL CHAPTER As soon as my eyes adjusted to the light, I kept my eyes opened, examining the unfamiliar room. It was all-white. Agad akong nagtaka. Shaking my head, it has been years since I found myself in an unknown vicinity. Traumatic pa ang pangyayaring iyon ng buhay ko, it was weird recalling it now. “Sioux,” I called out my husband’s name. Where the fuck is he in the early morning? Realization hit me, my kids need to be taken care of. Classes are going to start and here I am lying in bed. Sometimes, I slept late and woke up late in the morning. Minsan hindi ko naaabutan ang mga bata sa pagpasok. There were times I would think low of myself as a mother.
