Chapter 15 You are never the cost

Joan's POV

This was probably the most nervous I'd ever been, and I bet I'd never been this nervous before, even in the job interview 10 years ago.

Of course, my boss didn't see anything strange about my mood. He stood friendly by Noah's side. Never had I seen him behaving like this. He always seemed to be the most serious person in the company and rarely even smiled in front of all the employees.

Today, however, the whole office was full of his enthusiasm.

I was hesitant, but I quickly adjusted myself. I knew I could no longer show that kind of cowardice and lack of confidence at work.
