Chapter 1 Kiss Me, My Mate

"Hmm, kiss me, touch me,... my mate..."

Alicia's desire became palpable as she moaned, her voice echoing through the darkened top suite of the hotel, reminiscent of a cat in heat.

Her remaining sanity reminded her that she was married.

"Alicia, you can't betray your husband, even if this strong Alpha is your mate," she thought to herself.

Despite her attempts to resist, the drug that had been forced upon her had weakened her resolve, leaving her feeling powerless. Adding to her misery was the fact that the man touching her was her mate, and the mate pull only intensified the drug's effects.

The Alpha finally noticed that Alicia was not quite right. "You betrayed your husband? You bold thing." His voice was deep and cold, belying the imperceptible anger beneath his surface.

"I was forced to take a strange heat-inducing drug," Alicia gasped, pushing against the man's chest. "Please, you have to stop..."

She knew her mind was on the verge of breaking under the influence of the drug, and the last thing she wanted was to betray her husband. But her mate's touch was overwhelming, and she wasn't sure how much longer she could resist.

"Babe, your breath smells like some chemical stuff." The Alpha continued, "It seems to be a new kind of heating drug. You know all heating drugs have side effects even if you get an orgasm."

Alicia's body writhed in discomfort as she murmured, "No, no..."

"If you don't use Alpha's body fluids to stimulate your self-healing power, the toxins in the drug may attack the nerves in your brain. Oh, and it potentially causes you to lose your ability to shift."

"Looks like you've made a dangerous enemy," the Alpha commented, his tone dripping with sarcasm, after providing Alicia with a reasonable explanation.

"No, I can't. I can't lose it..." Alicia shook her head, tears streaming down her face.

The Alpha gently kissed the tears, wiping them away. As he did, he was hit with the overpowering scent of wine emanating from her, which quickly overpowered the faint scent of the drug. The intoxicating aroma of the wine flooded his senses, driving him wild.

"No worries. My mate, I’ll help you. Let's enjoy this night." The Alpha said, his fingers brushing her slit.

"Awh~" Shivers hit Alicia.

His touches and kisses tempted her to give in to her desires. She grabbed her mate's strong arm and then whispered in his ear, "Please don't mark me."

The Alpha stroked Alicia's burning cheeks, smiled, and said, "I won't let you down, babe."

Tears slipped from the corners of Alicia's eyes as her mate carried his hard cock inside her body. She bit her lower lip and clutched the sheets beneath her.

"Morning, babe," He greeted her with a smile, and Alicia felt a flutter in her chest at the sight of his dark blue eyes, sensual lips, and naturally black hair that was still slightly damp.

She remembered the charity dinner she had attended last night, hosted by her husband's brother, Alpha Ellis. She had been there on behalf of her husband, Tobias Wilton.

But when the elevator strangely took her up to the top floor. A waiter led her to another room. It was there that she met her mate. And that was the last thing she remembered before waking up in the strange room.

As she lay there, feeling confused and ashamed, the Alpha spoke up. "Have you remembered what happened last night? Do you want me to call your husband and ask him to come to pick you up?"

Alicia's heart sank as she realized the gravity of the situation. She had cheated on her husband. She looked up at the Alpha.

"You knew something was wrong with me, so why didn't you stop me?" she asked, her voice trembling.

The Alpha shrugged. "I told you the drug had side effects. And besides, I couldn't resist the mate pull. Plus, you were practically begging me to caress you."

Alicia felt a surge of anger rise within her. How could he be so callous about what had happened? "You took advantage of me," she said, her voice shaking with fury.

"I saved you," he said. "And I had sex with my mate. What's wrong with that?" The Alpha turned back, raising his black eyebrows as if he'd heard something interesting.
