Chapter 3

Author: Matcha 66
At five months, my already-formed baby was forcibly torn from my womb.

I could see the tiny outlines of his features. There wasn't a single part of him I hadn't pictured before, including a round little head and a delicate, upturned nose.

When Quilton saw the blood-covered fetus, he froze in place. He staggered forward a couple of steps, but Sally tugged on the hem of his suit.

Quilton shoved her off violently. "Didn't you say the prenatal report was fake? How could this be?"

"She used an AI deepfake software to deceive you! Don't you get it?" Sally shouted, clinging tightly to Quilton.

Then, she took out her phone, made a deepfake video of a pregnant woman being cut open, and uploaded a photo of me and the abductors. Soon, a hyper-realistic video appeared.

Several of the nearby guests chimed in. "It's true that top AI video creators nowadays can fake anything flawlessly."

The wedding guests erupted into an excited frenzy.

"So Mr. Fuller's ex is that kind of person. First, she aborts the baby, then tries to stop the wedding with tricks like this…"

Feeling utterly deceived, Quilton tossed all the decorations to the floor. He pointed furiously at me on-screen and said, "Even if you die, it has nothing to do with me.

"Did you really think I loved you for ten years? Truth is, I've always wanted to marry Sally. I've been with her since the first year of our marriage."

He gestured, and the assistant beside him began playing clips from the couple's past.

My eyes stung with every single clip that played.

So, they had already been together while I was still with him.

I remembered taking medicine every day back then, hoping for the day I could conceive Quilton's child—but now it all felt laughable.

He had been living it up with Sally the whole time.

Every night after I fell asleep, the two of them were out indulging in passion.

Quilton and Sally weren't doing anything outright, but I could see how they included their guests as props in their provocative performance on stage.

There was a kiss mark on the inner lining of Quilton's collar. Sally's neatly dressed figure sat on Quilton's lap, and there was an obvious flush at the tips of his ears.

"I was planning to keep this from you. You could've continued being Mrs. Fuller, but you just didn't know your place." Quilton sneered.

Tears streamed down my face, and my pain only seemed to fuel his excitement.

He cursed me viciously, his expression tinged with a sick sort of triumph.

The abductors gave up all hope of getting ransom money from Quilton. They began rummaging through my house and looked for anything of value.

In the end, they tore off a ruby pendant from around my neck. It was a token of love that Quilton had once given me.

Quilton's gaze froze on the pendant, and for a moment, I thought he was finally remembering our past.

But instead, he snapped viciously, "You think I'll fall for your tricks a second time?"

"Mr. Fuller, I'll give you one last chance. Are you going to save this woman or not?" the abductors asked angrily.

Quilton didn't answer them at all. He pulled the trembling Sally tighter into his arms and said to his assistant, "Turn off the feed. That woman's guts are all over the floor. I don't want it to frighten Sally."

To take revenge for not getting the ransom, the abductors had someone drag me to the wedding venue and shoved me off the second floor.

My once slightly bulging belly had long been emptied, slashed open in a cross, and my insides spilled to the floor. My face lay pressed against the floor.

When my eyes met Quilton's, his face turned ashen. It was as if his soul had just left his body.

Right before I lost consciousness, I heard someone shouting wildly beside my ear.

Sally thought Quilton had always loved her. She thought it was only because I had stood in the way that they couldn't be together. It turned out Quilton had never loved her at all.Quilton called the doctor over and said, "Abort this child. I don't want it."Sally shook her head. "We had such a hard time conceiving this child. You know I have a body that doesn't conceive easily.""Cut the crap. I've been giving you aborticide for ten years. You're nothing but a tool for my release. Can you stop deluding yourself?" Quilton snapped."Get rid of the child. I never wanted it from the start."Sally refused to abort the child, and Quilton didn't argue further. On the day Sally was discharged, Quilton had people block her in an alley. They beat her until she miscarried, then cut her stomach open. The baby wasn't even fully formed, yet they still ripped the flesh from her belly.I knew Quilton had done all of this just to beg for my forgiveness. He had recorded everything and sent the

Did Quilton just say he would give me an explanation? That I should rest well and wait for him?My mind was filled with scene after scene of him and Sally being intimate at the wedding. In the ten years I had been with Quilton, scenes like this had played out every single day.I turned my head and dialed for my mother, who was overseas. When Mom found out about how my stepfather and stepbrother treated me back then, she had decisively divorced my stepfather. After Quilton and I got married, I had wanted to bring Mom over to live with us. But she had said she wanted to travel abroad, so I gave her some money. When the call went through, I said, "Hello? Mom? I want to go to Endoria to see you."Mom heard my choked-up voice and replied, "Come over, sweetheart."Since I was a child, I had seen how my biological father had treated my mother terribly as well as my stepfather's true colors. That was why I had always feared marriage and intimacy between a man and a woman. However, Quil

I lay in the hospital's emergency room.Outside the door, Quilton was shouting like a madman. "Save her! If you can't, this hospital can forget about staying open!"The doctors and nurses didn't bother arguing with him. They just treated him like a lunatic. My consciousness was on the verge of fading completely, and scenes of when Quilton and I first met surfaced in my mind.…Quilton and I had been together since college. Back then, Quilton was a star on campus, and he had pursued me whole-heartedly.He told me he had had a crush on me all through high school. As we dated, I discovered that the scion in everyone's eyes turned out to be unexpectedly devoted.Back then, I had followed my remarried mother to her new home. My stepfather and stepbrother didn't like me, and they had once kicked me out of the house in the middle of winter.Quilton offered me money to help me settle down, but I was too young and unwilling to accept a handout. Thus, Quilton followed me every day, h

Quilton stood frozen in place for a long time and just stared at me in a daze. His lips trembled for moments longer before he could finally speak."You… Holly… Stop acting… You win. Holly? I'm scared…"Quilton was no longer the smug man from moments ago. His expression was now visibly crumbling."Stop acting, please?"His hands trembled as he screamed hysterically, "Quick! Call an ambulance, now!"At that moment, the joyous wedding celebrations came to an abrupt stop.Everyone turned to look at Quilton and me.The guests shrieked in horror. "Ah! That's a real person?"The men who had hauled me away earlier were now baffled. Why had Quilton been so indifferent and cursing viciously at me before, yet he now looked like he was on the verge of losing his mind?Sally and her guests still hadn't grasped the situation. They only frowned at my blood-soaked body and regarded me with distaste."What is this filthy thing? Take her out, quickly! This is a day of celebration. Who's tryin

"Ah! Someone, come quickly! Get this bloody prop out of here!" Sally's hysterical scream interrupted Quilton just as he was walking toward me.The moment he heard the word "prop", Quilton snapped back to his senses.Sally clung tightly to Quilton's clothes. She looked terrified as she buried herself in his arms. "Holly is too much, preparing gruesome props like this. Quilton, you know I faint at the sight of blood," she whined.Perhaps because the woman in his arms was startled, but Quilton became furious and roared in rage, "Holly, haven't you made enough of a scene?"He still believed that I was the mastermind behind this whole act. However, I had long lost the ability to respond. After shouting, Quilton returned all of his attention to Sally once more. He gently comforted her while embracing her. "Someone! Sally feels faint from seeing the blood. Get that thing out of here now!"I lay on the ground, barely breathing, as several of Quilton's men walked over. They surrounded me
