3. Return To Revenge

Dianne Rosallee, that girl came to avenge her revenge. She was willing to rent a car with her meager savings and drive at night to release all the pent-up emotions that she held back while working for Nicolas.

“Dianne? What are you doing here?" Nicolas frowned. Yesterday afternoon, he had heard from Keenan that this girl's parents had died, so why did his intern secretary suddenly come to his villa far from the city center?

"YOU!" Dianne growled with a face full of anger, take off a black hat from her head and she was ready for tonight's show.

SLAP!! SLAP!

Dianne darted toward Nicolas and immediately slapped the man's cheeks with a swift movement that made Nicolas little stagger.

“ALL IS YOUR FAULT!” she screamed in a shrill voice.

Nicolas, who didn't know anything, was barely speechless after receiving the sudden attack. His brain still couldn't accept this strange and unusual situation.

Usually, he's the one who screams, snaps, and swears at this apprentice when her work isn't satisfying. In addition, he was the one who intimidated Dianne every day because of the intern's repeated mistakes. But now this girl dared to scream under his nose and even slapped him.

"How dare you?!" Nicolas sprayed after a few seconds of being speechless. "Are you crazy?"

"Yes! I'm totally crazy!” Diane came to her senses. "I can’t take it anymore! Because of you, I couldn't stay with my mother at her last moment!” The girl pointed to Nicolas with her left hand. "Your demon nature forced me to come, even if I had asked for leave!"

"So, you blame me?" Nicolas couldn't believe that he was also to blame for the death of the girl's parents. “If you feel that your mother is more important then you should stay by her side.”

“What?” Dianne frowned.

“Wait, do you believe that I'm really going to fire you?” Nicolas chuckled. “Wow! You don't really know me yet, Dianne!”

Dianne was silent for a few seconds because of that shocking statement. Thought that what the man said was true because actually Dianne just needed someone to blame. But, this man should still be held responsible for pushing her to be a disobedient child.

Dianne didn't want to talk about her mother anymore, because she was embarrassed and felt even worse.

Her revenge mission changed. All Dianne needed to do now was wrap this business up after giving some lessons to her boss.

"Gosh, you really have gone mad," Nicolas commented, gasping in annoyance. “Did you come just to show your stupidity?"

"Don't yell at me anymore, you bastard!" screamed Dianne who seemed to have had enough of enduring everything. “Shut your mouth before I rip it!”

Seeing Nicolas who was shocked and gawking at her attitude made the girl smile cynically.

"Why?" challenged Dianne with a raised chin. “You think, the only one who can scream and swear is just you? Eh? I can also! You useless boss!”

“W-what? Useless?” Nicolas's mouth dropped even more. It was his most frequent curse at Dianne, now she had the nerve to use it back.

"Yes, you're!” pressed Dianne whose head and chest were already hot. Her eyes were intensely burning, what she was doing now seemed like she didn't think about tomorrow. "You think I'd be willing to scold you every morning just because your coffee isn't hot enough?"

“Eh?” Nicolas raised his eyebrows, confused. “Co-coffee? My Caffeine?”

Indeed, this one is the anxiety that Dianne most wants to shed someday. It seems now is the moment.

“Every morning I run from the pantry to your office on the top floor, carrying a thermos of coffee, jostling in a crowded lift and serving you, and you always whine because your coffee isn't hot enough? Hah!" Dianne ruffled her hair while wetting her lips. "If I didn't hold back, your tongue would have been burned because I served coffee with boiling water!"

"So what?" snorted Dianne, continuing to let out her annoyance. “You tore up all my reports in front of the employees just because I over-typed one space on your MBA degree! Hah! If I can have savings to eat for the next month, of course, I will resign that very second, immediately!”

"You think that self-discipline and perfectionism can make you run the company alone?" asked the girl again. “Bruh! You need people like us, at least give us a little respect!”

Dianne was so explosive. "You think I've been stupid all this time because I never interrupt you? Do you think I'm keeping quiet out of fear? Fear your knees! I just don't want to waste my time because of what? Because you're a worthless loser!”

Nicolas blinked his eyes after receiving the barrage without thinking that he would get it from an intern that he belittled every day.

“Hey! Nicolas Gauthier!” accused Dianne then.

Nicolas was sure that his ears still heard right. "What? Are you calling my name?" The more speechless did not know the umpteenth time.

“Nicolas!” repeated Dianne more clearly. “I warn you, you better watch your manners! If you piss me off again …,” Dianne lifted it with difficulty to reveal the large hammer she had been dragging along, "then you will feel the consequences."

To be honest, Nicolas was quite creeped out by the girl's statement. He didn't think that it turned out that Dianne Rosallee, who had always been obedient and even afraid to answer his command, could threaten him with that hammer.

“This is absolutely ridiculous. She watches too many movies, doesn't she?” said Nicolas in thought, both saluted and goosebumps. "The scene when the psychopath is visited turns out to be like this." He had never imagined that he would get such an extreme form of protest directly from his subordinates like this.

Nicolas watched Dianne whose chest was still heaving. "Are you done?" he asked in a tone as flat as possible as if not at all intimidated by the girl's criticism.

"Finished?" Dianne shook her head, slamming the hammer to the floor. She reached into the white envelope from inside her shorts, then showed the words 'Resignation Letter' printed on it. With a bossy style, Dianne immediately threw the letter right at Nicolas' face.

"Why? You think I'm still going to continue working with you?” she sneered. "I'd rather die of hunger than have to continue to serve you!"

“Y-you! Slap me and throw things in my face!” Nicolas again couldn't stop protests about this humiliation.

“Are you the only one who can throw things? I also could!" concluded Dianne whose face had also been pelted with minutes of paper by Nicolas several times. “If you hurt other people's hearts then I will break your heart with this hammer! Understand?"

After her savage words came out, Dianne turned around and walked away leaving Nicolas in the villa room. Releasing and venting everything made the girl feel so satisfied and relieved, it was like being reborn, peaceful, and serene.

But for Nicolas, this couldn't be considered a joke at all. How could he accept all this humiliation after the knowledge and salary he gave to the apprentice secretary?

"STOP!!" shouted Nicolas like a roaring lion. His tolerance just now was over and this girl couldn't just go. He also had to make calculations with Dianne for this whole thing, an absolute humiliation.

The man chased Dianne out of the villa. He grabbed the girl's hand but Dianne dodged nimbly.

"You can't just leave like this!" growled Nicolas.

“Why are you following me!!” Dianne panicked, finished off by Nicolas was not part of her plan. She kept running until she jumped into the bushes to take a shortcut to where her rental car was parked. The funny thing is Nicolas instead followed her route so that the man’s pajamas got dirty sticking by the leaves.

“Hey! Stop following me! Our business is done!” Dianne screamed as Nicolas banged on the glass door of her car. She hurriedly started the engine and stepped hard on the gas.

CRASHHH!

Dianne’s car grazed a street lamp. The car's headlights were destroyed and damaged. This is truly a frenetic midnight, as well as a chaotic and lousy implementation of revenge.

“DIANNEE!!!” shouted Nicolas as loud as he could, standing in the middle of the empty streets around the villa, swearing at the girl while looking at the black car driving away. No one can express how mad and angry he is at this time.

When Dianne's car had not disappeared at the end of the road, Nicolas felt another car coming from behind him.

The man turned, squinting from the bright car headlights. He was confused why the vehicle was speeding so fast from a distance.

Nicolas thought the car would slow down because he was still standing in the middle of the street. However, the car's speed increased, as if it were ready to crash into it.

“Dear God. What terror is this again?” said Nicolas. At that moment the man knew that this time he would not survive.

“CRASSHH!!!!”
