LOGINLem Kingsley POV
"Is it not great here, Gemma?" Jack says.
"It is totally perfect, Jack," Theo says. He looks at me and does a quick wink. I try hard to look away but I cannot do it. He sits right next to me in the back of this big black car.
"Do not look at the windows, Lem," Theo says. "Talk to me."
"Leave me alone," I say. My heart goes fast because he is huge. He is the family lieutenant but he acts like he owns the whole Kingsley Orchard Estate.
"Watch your mouth, boy," Jack says from the front seat. "Theo is the Harrington family underboss now. Show some respect while we drive through these trees."
"He is just a bully," I say.
"I am a powerful alpha wolf in this city, kid," Theo says. He laughs loud and hits my knee with his big hand. "Your dad needs my pack resources. So you have to be nice to me."
"Stop it, Theo," Gemma says. "He is just a young literature scholar. He gets scared easy."
"He does not look scared," Theo says. His green eyes look right into my soul. It makes my skin feel hot. "He looks like he wants to fight me."
"I do not want to fight you," I say. "I want you to move away from me. You take up all the space."
"Make me move," Theo says. He leans closer and I can smell his heavy smoke and leather scent. "You are small, Lem. I can break you with two fingers."
"Try it," I say.
"Both of you stop talking," Jack says. He stops the car hard at the estate arrival grounds. "We are here to talk about pack business, not argue like kids."
"Get the collection buckets, Lem," Gemma says. "Go to the market stall."
"I will go by myself," I say. I jump out of the car fast. I want to run away from his big body and his mean smile.
"Wait for me, little wolf," Theo calls out. His boots make loud noises on the rocks behind me.
"Do not follow me," I say. I grab a big wooden bucket from the stand. "Go talk to my dad about your crime family stuff."
"Your dad told me to watch you," Theo says. He grabs my arm. His fingers are like iron bands. "You think you can run from a Harrington?"
"Let go of me," I say. My breath cuts off. He is too strong and it makes me angry. "You are a jerk."
"I am the boss of you today," Theo says. He pulls me into the deep rows of trees where the shadows are dark. "Now pick the fruit like a good boy."
"I hate you," I say.
"No you do not," Theo says. He gets very close until his chest touches my shoulder. "Your heart is thumping like a trapped rabbit. I can hear it."
"It is because I want to punch your face," I say.
"Do it then," Theo says. He laughs and pushes me against a big tree trunk. "Show me how tough the Kingsley syndicate made you."
"Gemma!" I shout out loud. "Help me!"
"She went to the main lodge," Theo says. He smiles and his teeth look sharp. "Nobody is here but us, Lem. Pick that high fruit right there."
"I cannot reach it," I say. "It is too high up."
"I will help you," Theo says.
"No, do not touch—"
He grabs my waist before I can finish my words. He lifts my whole body up in the air like I weigh nothing at all. My hands shake as I grab the wood branch.
"Put me down right now!" I scream.
"Grab them fast," Theo says. His face is right against my hip. "You feel good, kid. You are soft for a mafia boy."
"Stop looking at me like that," I say.
"Like what?" he says. He moves his mouth right against my leg and bites down hard through my jeans.
"Ow!" I yell. I drop the fruit and hit his head. "You bit me!"
"You taste good," Theo says. He drops me down to the dirt but he does not let go of my shirt. He sniffs my neck real loud. "Like a real prize."
"You are crazy!" I say. I push him with all my power but he stands there like a brick wall.
"Do not run," Theo says. He reaches out to grab my hair. "We are not done playing."
Joe nods his head and does the math in his brain. "I am not sure," he murmurs. He would say no to this dangerous plan if anyone else asked, but Brandon is always very smart. Brandon managed his family’s far-away hunting grounds across the Sapphire Moon Sea better than anyone expected. Joe knows Brandon will do great things here in the Silvermoon Capital now that he is back home. Joe will not lose many pack resources by working with him, but this project is scary because Michael wants it so bad."I think you should let me take you to a big feast tonight," Brandon says, tilting his head. "I will buy you good meat and fire-water so I can make my case look great."Joe lets out a small laugh and grabs his fur pouch. "You win me over with food," Joe admits. "Besides, I wanted to call your pack house so we could sit down and talk properly. I like doing that in person much better.""Great, because I really want to go to the Silverfang Banquet Hall."Joe misses a step on the stone floor. Brand
Joe Hale slams his magic communication mirror face down on his wooden desk. He rejects Michael Jackson’s secret mind-call for the seventeenth time today. He tries very hard to look at his territory maps, but his brain keeps going back to last night. He remembers standing in the shadow of the alpha den. He watched Michael rush over to Rebbie Jackson, tearing off his own fine tunic to wipe the messy pasta off her bare feet. Michael looked so scared and worried for her. Joe felt like a huge, silly pup standing there, so he just walked out into the dark night without making a sound. The mirror glows and hums again. Joe flips the power switch completely off. He lets out a big, sad sigh and buries his face in his hands. His heart feels very heavy and sore. When Rebbie Hale told him she did not think Michael was mating that hidden princess, Joe secretly hoped his sister-in-law was right. But he should have known better. Joe’s stomach does a flip when he remembers the sharp look in Rebbie Jac
"Come on," Valente says, his voice softer now. "I'll walk you out."Joe nods, unable to meet Michael's eyes. He bends to grab the handcuffs off the floor, but Michael's voice stops him."Leave those."Joe straightens slowly, finally looking at Michael. "Why?""Because you're coming back." Michael's eyes hold his gaze, fierce and determined. "This isn't over.""It's over," Joe says flatly. "It was never anything to begin with."He turns and walks toward the door, Valente following. But Michael's words echo in his head, making his heart race. This isn't over.Valente guides him through the winding halls of the Silverclaw Citadel, both of them silent. Joe can feel Valente's curious glances, the questions burning in his eyes, but he's grateful Valente doesn't ask. What could Joe even say? That he can't stay away from Michael even though he knows it will destroy him? That every time Michael touches him, he forgets who he's supposed to be?They reach the main entrance, and Joe steps into th
JOE"Kitten," Michael murmurs, fighting back the smile tugging at his lips as he watches Joe fume from behind the silver bars. "You really do think you have nine lives, don't you?"Joe glares at him, arms crossed tight over his chest, the motion making his thin cotton shirt stretch across his shoulders. "I see you came to mock me."Michael smirks, unable to help himself. "You know this is my private quarters you tried to sneak into, right? Who else would they call?""They should have called Rebbie, like I asked.""Still haven't learned your lesson from last time, have you?" Michael steps closer to the cell, watching Joe's jaw tighten. "The last time you got caught breaking into my room. Need a reminder, sweetheart?"Joe's breath catches, his eyes dropping to the floor. That night haunts him still, getting caught with Janet Rose, his brother's aide, both of them trying to find evidence against the Silverclaw pack. Tito had bailed out Janet Rose, but left his little brother to face Mich
"Michael Jackson is late for the assembly," Joseph Jackson says. His old alpha eyes look very hard and serious.Michael rushes into the big Alpha Council Hall. He clenches his fists because he feels bad for making his family wait. Today is the big moon meeting with his brothers and his parents."He is probably out messing with Joe Hale again," Jermaine Jackson says with a big laugh.Michael glares at his younger brother. He cannot help it. Ever since the Moonfang Chronicle reported that Joe went into Michael's Moonfire Lodge several winters ago, Jermaine brings it up every single day just to make Michael mad. The papers say Joe went into the private den with him and that they look like a perfect alpha and omega pair. That silly news scribe does not know how close Michael is to tearing their whole stone lodge down to the ground."Did you see this photo, Mother?" Jackie Jackson asks. He points his finger at the big wall behind them. A magic projection shows a big picture of Michael and
"Michael Jackson is a big bully," Joe Hale says. He squeezes his small screen tight. He sits on his wooden stool and stares at the paper note his brother’s mate, Hazel Hale, sent over this morning. The big bold letters on the top say: FUTURE ALPHA KING MICHAEL JACKSON SPOTTED RIDING NEW UNRELEASED HALE WOLF RIDERS GUILD MACHINE. Joe clicks the little video button. Michael’s very handsome alpha face fills the screen."You never ride a Hale Wolf Riders Guild machine before, Lord Jackson," the scribe from the Moonfang Chronicle says on the video. She looks very shaky and smiles too much at him.Michael smirks. He turns around and rubs the smooth hood of the fast machine with one big finger. He looks back at the scribe with a funny, teasing look in his dark eyes. He always uses that look just for Joe."I have no choice," Michael says on the screen. He lets out a small, deep chuckle. "My sweet little pup gets his sharp claws into all my other wagons last night. I have to buy a ride I think
Castel Moonvale POV“Thank you so much for the great meat, Cedric,” I say as we walk across the Moonfang Courtyard. I put my arm inside his big arm. He looks at me and feels surprised, but he smiles back. I feel very safe with this elder alpha lord.“Thank you too, Castel,” he says. “I usually eat
Castel Moonvale POV“Hey Castel Moonvale, why are you still here at this Moontrail Station with the other Moonhaven Travelers?”I jump up because Cedric Nightfang is right there.“The sun is going down and my work at the Alpha Dominion Tower is done.”“I can take you in my ride if you want a lift t
Castel Moonvale POV“Castel, I am happy to see you here today.”I shake because I know that big voice. I stop writing on my papers and look up fast. Cedric Nightfang stands right in front of me.He is the dad of Kieran Nightfang, my old mate candidate.Kieran is okay, but he is from three years ago
"I love the fur on your dick," I murmur, leaning my weight against Theo's dick head. My fingers drift through the dark hair, catching on the streaks of silver woven throughout. It looks so mature. So incredibly sexy. He feels every bit the man.He strokes my back, pressing a soft kiss to my dick. M
