Chapter forty-three

"Be mine".

Adena stared at him endlessly, surprised by the words that just came out of him.

He just asked her to be his! She didn't know what to answer to that. What about Tyson? He told her that he'd be back for her. She didn't want to break his heart, for a man that tortured her.

"I.. I.. um" she stuttered, freeing herself from his strong grip.

"We should get going. To the mall" she said and left for the car.

Logan sighed and went after her. He promised to do everything he could, to prove to her that he had changed, that he loved her.

He knew it wasn't going to be easy, since Adena was just as stubborn as him, but he wasn't going to give up. For once in his life, he would do something, for the sake of love.

"Ready?" He asked, igniting the car. Adena nodded and they drove off to the mall.
