Chapter forty-five

Logan felt a tap on his arm and that woke him from his sleep. He sat up and rubbed his eyes sleepily.

"Logan.." Adena's voice rang out in the dark night. She stared at him, pouting.

"What's the matter? Is everything okay?" Logan asked, looking at her with worry. She sighed and nodded.

"Yes I'm fine. I just.. um.." she bit her lip and sighed.

"What is it? Tell me" Logan urged.

"I want mango" she spoke.

"Mango?" He raised his brow.

"Yes, unripe mango. I'm seriously craving one right now" she sighed and slumped into the bed.

"Are you serious?" Logan asked, confused.

"Where on earth am I going to find unripe mangoes by this time of the night?" He asked, still in awe.

"It's mango season! Mangoes are everywhere" Adena scoffed.

"But it's two in the morning" Logan argued. Adena pouted.

"It's okay then, forget about it" she said and covered herself with the blanket. She was angry and disappointed. She had been craving mangoes all night and didn't know how to tell Logan about it.
