Training Grounds

Five days had passed and she hadn't seen Zeke. She took it that he might be busy running the whole country, but her mind has always been occupied with thoughts ever since she spoke with Princess Olivia.

It had taken a good amount of self-control for Elle not to jump on the woman the second and declared she was after the King. Elle had felt this annoyance and pain, understanding that women were after his heart. All day and night, she was suddenly picturing Olivia flirting around with him and them laughing together.

Elle couldn't take it anymore. She wondered why all those princesses hadn't found their mate yet and had asked Astrid to explain how mating worked here. Elle never really cared about these things since she's been alone most of her life, but now that she was staying here it's better to mingle.

According to Astrid, Royalty was different. Some Royals are lucky enough to find their destined mate as another royal, and some don't really mind if their mate turns out to be a normal human.

Some don't mind too, but their family pressures them to reject their normal mate and find a werewolf with royal blood instead. And as for the ones born in prestigious and a strong royal blood, they're advised since from a young age to reject their mates if they turn out to be of no royal blood, and find another of royal blood to marry.

It was the norms. It was how it worked for those born in the royal family. Some saw it as a blessing, others saw it as a curse while some don't really care. It really bothered Elle as she walked around her room in deep thought, wondering if the King would also marry someone with Royal blood.

Elle didn't have any form of Royal blood running through her as far as she was concerned. The biggest problem was that she was an Omega, and it's not like they can suddenly welcome her into the pack. Apparently, The pack in Euscarria was called the Dark horse of Euscarria.

Unable to keep staying inside the house, she decided to leave. If she wasn't mistaken, Astrid had also told her about the training ground that was behind the palace. Elle felt like letting out some steam there, and quickly sneaked out of the mansion.

Astrid was going to be gone for a few minutes, and Elle successfully cleared the area till she found herself staring at a huge fence that was wide with a small gate right in front.

She approached the building, and opened the door. At first, she thought there was no one inside since she couldn't hear any noise till she opened the door and realized it was soundproof. Elle gasped softly because her eyes had already started glowing blue, and she quickly blinked to bring them back to normal.

She stepped in quietly, and took in the sight before her. It was as if she had just stepped into a forest, and she could tell there were a few people around. Elle moved in stealthily, making so little noise that even their heightened senses could catch it.

"Hey!" A voice called out from above, and Elle paused in her steps, "Who are you?"

Elle looked up to see a man sitting on one of the branches on the tree. He was shirtless and his body was hairy and bigger than an average human. His teeth were sharp, and his claws were out. It seems he had transformed into a wolf man.

When Elle didn't reply, he jumped down and landed firmly on the ground, "I've seen you before," He said, and then sniffed between them, catching her scent. Elle noticed his aura was different from the others, a commanding and dominant one.

"I came here with the King a few days ago," Elle replied.

He suddenly smirked, "Ah, the guest, isn't it?"

Elle didn't like the smile one bit. He had to be at least in his early thirties. His hair was touching his neck and she didn't know whether it was his normal hair or it was also part of his changes in his wolfman state.

"You're quite popular now."

Elle felt like she had seen him somewhere before. He looked a little familiar, and she was trying to remember.

"I see," she nodded like she understood his words and actions. Her eyes scanned her surroundings to see if they were alone, and even though she didn't see anyone she could hear a bit of noise coming from somewhere around.

"Why were you sneaking around?" He asked, and sniffed between them again. He looked a little confused like he was trying to decipher what was going on with her.

"I was merely walking around," She responded.

He gave her a once over, "You're not dressed for training, so I'll assume to either came here to see how the place looks like or you're looking for something...or someone."

Elle had initially came here to let out steam, but she wasn't alone. They would know she's an Omega the second her eyes turn blue, so that wasn't an option anymore. But the man in front of her looked like of untrustworthy to her, and she narrowed her gaze at him.

"No," She said, "If you'll excuse me."

She walked away from him and wondered further into the forest. As she did the noise from earlier got much more focused on her ear as she arrived at what looked like the middle of the forest that had a huge opened space. It looked like some kind of battle ground, and there were many wolfs here attacking each other. Some had gone into full wolf form, while the others were either wolfmen or women.

Elle didn't even know her eyes were searching for the King. She was so focused on finding him when she heard footsteps approaching her from the left.

Two Princesses stopped in front of her, and they both recognized her immediately, "It's her," the one with brown locks scoffed with a frown.

"If you're looking for the King, he's not here." The second one with cat eyes crossed her arm over her chest. Elle wondered how people had known her, and she was betting it was either because the King had kissed and hugged her in public, or Olivia had told everyone about her and their little conversation making people think she was also after the king's heart.

"But you can stay with us. We can always train, right?" Brown locks suggested with a gleam in her eyes, and cat eyes giggled lightly.

"Tempting, I'll pass," Elle turned away from them and looked back at the grounds. She's never seen anything like it. There were so many obstacles around for a werewolf to cross, and they looked so hard. Then the battle arena was so big that it could for so many people at once.

Elle had actually been tempted to accept their offer. She was itching to beat the hell out of someone, but she couldn't risk it.

"What? You can't say No to a she-wolf with Royal blood." Brown locks arched a brown and took a step closer to Elle, "Or are you just afraid you're gonna get your ass kicked since we are not in the same league," The Princess then made to touch Elle's red hair.

These days, it was very rare to see a person with natural red hair.

Before Brown locks could touch Elle, The Omega slapped her hand away with a notorious smack that had the princess's wrists cracking a bit.

"Ow!" She cried out, holding her wrists that was already healing.

"How dare you?!" Cat eyes came in throwing her palms to slap Elle, but received her one notorious smack that snapped her wrist even more than the first. Cat eyes's globes glowed golden yellow with a ferocious snarl, and she was already transforming.

She was growing taller, but since she didn't change at once she was just gonna because a wolfwoman.

"Calm down Princess Natalie,"

Elle rolled her eyes when she recognized the voice though it wasn't as sharp as before. The man from before came into view, and he was in human form and wearing a shirt. Now she knew where she had seen him from. He was the guy who hadn't seem happy the other day when Zeke was waving at the people.

"Your Highness," The Princesses bowed respectfully at him. Cat eyes, otherwise called Natalie had changed back to human form the second he had spoken. The both of them quickly turned around and walked away but not without throwing Elle a glare telling her it wasn't over.

"See, aren't you popular?" He grinned this time.

Elle wanted to ignore him, but now that she recognized him from the other day and now confirmed that he wasn't one of the visiting royals and was a part of Royal family of Euscarria, she was curious to know how he was related to King Ezekiel.

"Am I in trouble?" She retorted, then looked away to the battle ground once again. She felt starved. She really wanted to beat the hell out of someone.

"Depends," He gave her a creepy smile, then leaned forward and whispered against her ear, "On whether you're his mate, or you're...his slave."
