Lena's Pov

Its claws tore through Milo’s throat and blood sprayed out like a crimson fountain.

Milo’s scream cut off like a choking gurgle as the beast roared wide in triumph.

Milo stumbled and collapsed right before my eyes.

I slapped a hand over my mouth.

Oh Goodness

He was dead!

Elias and Jax yelled in fury, attacking harder, their blades clashing with the creature's tough hide. But it let out horrible mocking laughter that made my skin crawl even from my hiding place.

Karin growled in my head.

“You need to do something. Or they’ll all die.”

I shook my head. “I don’t even know what that is.”

I looked down at the arrow as my hands trembled. Could I even pierce that thing’s skin?

Then Elias shouted.

“Jax, hold on..”

“This isn't the right time to cower..” He encouraged Jax who was already bleeding from his arm.

“Circle left—try to distract it!”

“Yeah, I’m trying!” Jax yelled, ducking a wild swing.

I couldn’t just sit here.

I notched an arrow and whispered,

“Karin, guide me.”

Lena's PovThe door burst open with a force that shook the wooden frame. I startled, lifting my head sharply. Elias stormed into the room with such force that my skin crawled.“We don’t want you here anymore,” he growled, his voice loud and cutting like a blade. “Start packing your things. Immediately.”I blinked, stunned. “What—what are you talking about?”“You heard me,” he snapped, stepping into the room. “You’re no longer needed. You’re done here.”His words cut deeper than the cold air seeping in behind him. I pushed myself to my feet slowly, still hugging the towel to my body. “I don't understand..?” I asked, my voice trembling slightly.“You were calm a second ago.”He snarled a sound that made my skin crawl. “What’s wrong with you, harlot? You think you can waltz in here, pretending to be innocent?”“Harlot?” I repeated in disbelief. “What the hell are you talking about?”He stepped closer to me and for the first time, I saw something different in his eyes.Raw anger. His ey

Damian's Pov“We have to set out now…” I instructed the guards, who were already packed and ready to move.I should’ve made this journey days ago. But after that wild night with Vivian, I had postponed everything. She had begged me to stay, and I did. Honestly, that night was the hottest I’ve ever had. She knew exactly what to do. No complaints, no nagging—just raw passion. But her sudden behavior change still bothered me. She had gone quiet. Vivian never stayed silent this long without plotting something. I asked her a few days ago if she’d seen Lena’s picture. She shrugged and said she hadn’t. But I later found it stuffed in her bag.I didn’t confront her. What was the point? She’d only lie and say she didn’t know how it got there. But my mind kept spinning. Why was she hiding Lena’s photo? What was she up to?I brushed those thoughts aside. I had a goal now—and I needed help to get it.After several long hours on the road, with my beta guiding the way, we finally arrived at the Bl

Lena’s POVMy eyes fluttered open, and momentarily, I forgot where I was. This room was different—cleaner, warmer, and more beautiful than the one I’d dozed off in. The walls were smooth, the bed softer, and there was a fur rug beneath my bare feet. The sunlight filtered in through a wooden window, casting a golden hue on everything.I blinked, confused for a second. Then I rubbed my arms with the back of my hand and realized that my pain was gone.My body didn’t ache anymore. That bath last night must’ve worked some serious magic.I was just about to sit up when the door creaked open. Elias stepped inside, holding a wooden tray. The smell hit me instantly—something spicy and rich.“You’re awake,” he said in a calm tone. “Good.”“Where am I?” I asked, still groggy.“Still in our territory. But just a better room.”“I assumed you wouldn't like the last one…, so I transferred you while you were asleep..”I blinked my eyes in surprise.I must have been sleeping like a moron to not know w

Lena's Pov He had used my name and I am sure I hadn’t mentioned that to any of them.My heart skipped multiple beats.No. This wasn’t just a coincidence anymore. These people knew more than they should. Were they possibly going to unalive me? I stared at all of them, my grip tightening on the arrow slung over my shoulder.“If you’re sent to kill me,” I said slowly. “You better say it now. And if any of you know me from somewhere, I suggest you speak fast.”My voice shook slightly, but I struggled to keep it firm.“Otherwise, I swear—I’ll use my arrow and send someone straight to the world beyond.”A few of them took a step back. Their eyes widened, and even Elias’s jaw tensed like he wasn’t expecting that.Good. Let them be afraid. I wasn’t going to die out here like some helpless creature. No one said a word for a moment. It was just heavy awkward silence. Then, Elias stepped forward. “I’m not your enemy,” he said calmly. “None of us are.”I didn’t lower my arrow. He gave me

Lena's Pov The one who I suspected to be the eldest pointed at my neck.“See, she has a mark here..” he alerted the others and the rest averted their gaze to the back of my neck.Curiously, they stared at me and examined the mark thoroughly.“This isn't an ordinary mark..” “She has a mate..” one of them suddenly exclaimed.“What?!” I hissed, anger rising in my chest. “Now tell us..” he growled.“Who sent you?”“Nobody sent me! I don’t even know who you are!”“Don’t lie to us..”“Remember we can easily outnumber you and butcher you right here…” they threatened.“I’m not lying!” I snapped. “I was just running from my old pack, alright? I had nowhere else to go. I found this shack in the woods and thought it was abandoned. That’s it.”The other two figures shifted slightly, still silent. I could tell they didn’t trust me. Honestly, I didn’t blame them. But slapping me? That was crossing a line.“Look, I don’t want anything from you,” I said, my voice firm despite the pain. “I didn’t

Kyler's Pov“I’m sorry, but I think she might not live again.”“I can’t wrap my head around what was injected into her. It’s something beyond natural medicine. We’re not sure if she’ll survive...”The words echoed as I jerked up from the couch, my breath shallow, skin damp and sticking to the leather. I didn’t even know when I had fallen asleep, maybe after the fifth drink... or the sixth. All I remembered was Lena’s voice, firm and final—“I’m leaving.”And then the silence that followed her footsteps. No matter how many times I told myself she didn’t matter, my wolf refused to agree. He hadn’t rested since she walked away. Neither had I.Low groans filtered through the wall from the healer’s den next to me and that was no other person than Alison.I detected those statements to be from the pack’s healer to any of the Elders, probably Elder Elijah.I sat there, staring blankly, my head pounding. They had just said that my child wouldn't make it alive.Oh Goodness!I rubbed my hands t

Lena’s POV"Are you sure we have to do this?" I asked my wolf, dragging my feet through the thick underbrush.“Yes, she replied firmly. We can’t stop now. We’ve come too far.”She was right. I had already left the Silverfang Pack hours ago or maybe more. But with each step, my legs grew heavier. My throat was dry, my stomach grumbled in hunger and my head throbbed from the lack of food.I didn't know where I was going though but I just knew I had to go, I had to go far away from Kyler's presence.I just wanted to escape him, escape having his scent near me or having that mini-witch of Alison around me.“I can’t keep going like this…” I whispered to myself. “My body’s giving up.”Still, I pushed forward, my arms wrapped around my middle. Hunger clawed at me, sharper than any wolf’s bite. That was when I saw something strange ahead, half-hidden behind a wall of tangled vines. I moved closer, squinting.“What is that… a cave?”No, not quite. As I stepped nearer, I realized it wasn’t mad

Damian's Pov I let out a low chuckle, stepping even closer, and forcing her against the cold glass of the window. "So desperate that you are already fucking yourself so hard..” I scolded her as I widened her legs more apart and raised one mid-air.Vivian doesn’t move away. She doesn’t push me back. She tilts her chin up, her lips parting slightly."You are starving me so I had to do it myself..” she murmurs, stroking herself harder.I should have resisted her and asked her for the picture I came looking for but I didn't.Instead, I kissed her. It’s not soft. It’s not patient. It’s claiming. Her body stiffens for a heartbeat, but then she melts into me, her fingers finding my shirt, clutching it tight. I slide a hand up her thigh, beneath the silk of her dress, my palm finding bare, warm skin."You couldn't even wear panties?"“How desperate..”I breathe against her mouth. She shivers. "I didn’t expect company."I smirk, pushing my fingers between her legs, feeling how wet she is. "L
