Gina turned the doorknob and stepped into the room quietly. As she entered, she couldn't help but admire its beauty. The room surpassed her expectations, despite its dim lighting from a few blue lights. It was large and exquisitely decorated. However, her admiration was abruptly interrupted when the door shut behind her, and all the lights switched on. Startled, she turned around, but there was no one in sight.
"Hello! Is anyone here?" Gina asked nervously, cautiously venturing further into the room. She realized she should have sought permission before entering someone's room. As she was about to ask again, she heard footsteps approaching from behind. She turned around and was taken aback by the sight in front of her. A handsome man in his late twenties stood there, with a strong build and dressed in black attire. Gina couldn't help but wonder who he was. He appeared too attractive to be the ruthless Alpha the girls at the prison had described. With her lips partly open in shock, she stared at him until his calm voice brought her back to reality.
"How dare you intrude on my privacy?" the man asked with a stern gaze.
"I'm so sorry, sir. I'm Gina, and the Alpha sent for me," Gina said, bowing slightly.
"Who exactly is this Alpha who sent for you?" the man asked, his expression stern.
"I don't know him personally. I've only heard that he's the Alpha," Gina answered, her voice filled with uncertainty. The man in front of her smiled mischievously.
"Really? What else have you heard about the Alpha? Were you informed of his ruthlessness towards debtors? Or that he demands total submission as a dictator?" the man inquired, taking a seat on a nearby couch and waiting for her response.
"I wasn't told about all that," Gina replied timidly, being cautious of her words. She felt betrayed by Lisa but had learned not to trust anyone she had just met.
"Please, have a seat. You're in the right place. I am the almighty Alpha of this clan," the man revealed, causing Gina to gasp in fear. He didn't fit her expectations of a menacing killer. How could he be the Alpha? He appeared too handsome, and his calm demeanor contradicted the terrifying image painted by the girls at the prison. Gina had anticipated encountering an ugly, beastly man with a monstrous voice. Yet, there she stood, facing a handsome, composed man with a calm voice.
"I'm sorry...I..." Gina began, but the man interrupted her with an authoritative tone.
"Have a seat now," he commanded, and Gina reluctantly walked to a chair opposite him and sat down.
"I'll give you two options to survive. You must choose one. We shall engage in a game of chess. If you defeat me, I'll let you go. But if you fail, you'll regret ever pleading for freedom," he muttered, taking out a chessboard and arranging it on the table.
Gina gulped nervously and reached for the chess pieces, starting the game. The man made the first move, and they continued to play. Gina could feel her heart racing, realizing that her life depended on the outcome of the game. They played for a long time, and in the end, Gina emerged as the winner. The Alpha stared at her for a prolonged moment, a mischievous smirk forming at the corner of his lips.
"Impressive! How did you manage to win?" he asked, feigning a smile.
"I am a gambler and a gamer," Gina replied, her gaze fixed on her fingers. But the Alpha ignored her and walked toward the bed.
"Thank you so much, sir. I'll be on my way now," Gina said with a bow, heading toward the exit door. She believed the Alpha wasn't as bad as he had been portrayed. Leaving seemed easier than she had anticipated. It seemed that the girls' stories were exaggerated. She couldn't wait to return home and confront her mother about borrowing such a large sum of money and how she had spent it.
However, when Gina reached the exit door and twisted the doorknob, she discovered it was locked. She tried multiple times, but the door wouldn't budge. Finally, she decided to return to the Alpha and request that he open the door. When she entered the room again, she found him sitting on the bed, as if he had been waiting for her to return.
"Sir, the door..." Gina muttered timidly.
"What about the door?" he asked, shifting his cold gaze to her face.
"It's locked," Gina replied, confusion evident in her voice.
"Yes," he responded, pretending not to know why.
"May I please have the keys? I'd like to go home now," Gina asked, her gaze fixed on the floor.
"Why do you need the key, and where do you think you're going?" the Alpha inquired.
"I want to go back home. We had a deal. You said I could leave if I defeated you, and I did," Gina explained, her voice filled with concern.
"Leave with my money?" he asked coldly.
"What money?" Gina asked, perplexed.
"In case you're unaware, your mother borrowed $100,000 from me and used you as collateral. You can leave as soon as you pay back the money," the Alpha revealed, walking toward her. Gina gasped in disbelief. Why would her mother borrow such a large sum of money, and what had she spent it on?
"I don't have that amount of money," Gina murmured quietly.
"What makes you think I'll let you go so easily, merely because you played a game and defeated me? You were sold to me right after your mother used you as collateral. You belong to me. You're my property. Only I have the right to decide if you live or die. Until you repay your debt, you have no personal life. I have complete control over your privacy and your body. You'll serve as a sex worker until your mother repays every dime she borrowed from me," the Alpha declared, gripping Gina's neck tightly, causing her to struggle for breath. Finally, he released his grip when he saw she was losing consciousness.
"Please have mercy. I had no knowledge of this," Gina pleaded, desperately trying to catch her breath.
"Mercy is a great sin and a forbidden word in Atlanta. From now on, you shall serve as my slave, and your life will be at my mercy. You no longer have a life of your own. I demand complete submission from you," the Alpha announced, to which Gina nodded.
"What am I to you?" the Alpha asked, grasping her chin.
"My Alpha," Gina whimpered, her voice filled with fear. The Alpha smirked, satisfied by the fear he saw in her eyes.
"Are my orders clear?" the Alpha asked in a low whisper.
"Yes, sir," Gina replied, her gaze still fixed on the floor. However, she accidentally looked up at his face, locking eyes with his dark gray ones. This angered the Alpha, causing him to dig his hurtful fingers into her chin, inflicting more pain.
"When addressing me, refer to me as 'your lordship.' Never stare directly at my face when I'm speaking, and never argue with my decisions if you value your life. Now, get lost!" he ordered, releasing her chin and walking toward the window.
"Yes, yes, your lordship," Gina whimpered, still on the floor, as she placed her injured hand on her bruised chin.
"Axel," the Alpha called out, and a young man immediately entered the room.
"Take her to her room," the Alpha commanded, and Axel roughly grabbed Gina, escorting her away.
Axel led Gina to a small room that resembled a dungeon. The entire place was gloomy, without a single window. It was dusty and dirty, hardly deserving the name "room." How would she survive in such conditions, and how long did the Alpha intend to keep her as a hostage?
"What is this place? It stinks!" Gina exclaimed to Axel, covering her nostrils with her palm.
"I advise you never to attempt escaping from here. Atlanta is a different world, far from Earth. It's impossible for anyone to leave Atlanta without the Alpha's help. Only his lordship has the power to send you back to Earth. So, don't waste your time trying to escape. You'll only get yourself into more trouble," Axel warned before leaving Gina's cell and slamming the door in her face.
A scream tore from Ralph's throat as Gina toppled over the edge. But before gravity claimed her, a strong grip clamped onto her wrist. Boris, eyes wide with shock, had lunged forward, snatching her back from the abyss. He dragged her back onto the rooftop, her heart hammering against her ribs; she couldn’t believe she just saw her life flash before her eyes in a second. Gina sat sprawled on the concrete, gasping for breath, the world tilting around her.Ralph’s face held a mixture of shock and relief as he stared at her for a while. Silence stretched for a lifetime, finally broken by Boris's gravelly voice. "Where's the staff?" he rasped, eyes narrowed at Gina. His grip on her wrist had loosened, but the question held her pinned where she sat. Gina, still panting for breath, looked up at him with a shaky smile. "I think I dropped it," she admitted, embarrassment creeping up her face. Before Boris could respond, a gruff voice cut through the stillness. Ralph, pushing past Boris with a
“He’s gone to get the staff from Boris; after this, he’ll leave for good,” Ivy announced, making Gina’s heart drop.“Where is he now? I need to find him,” Gina said as she got up immediately.“I’m not trying to stop you, but you can’t just go out there without a plan. It’s dangerous out there,” Ivy warned. Gina walked towards her and held her hands in hers.“Ivy, please tell me where he is. That is all I ask. I promise that I won’t try to stop him from leaving; I just want to have a last talk with him,” Gina pleaded, which was only a lie. There was no way she would let Ralph sacrifice himself just for her to live. Even though she didn’t have a plan yet, she was sure she would come up with an idea, whether smart or a dumb one. She was more focused on the end result, which was stopping him from leaving. She held Ivy’s hands, silently hoping that would be enough to convince her.“I don’t know, Gina. Ralph would be really mad at me if you get hurt,” Ivy said, trying to pull her hands out
“i’ll follow the rules. I will have to look for a way to get rid of you and take zayn with me,” Ralph said as he stared at her, as though waiting for her reaction.Gina stared at him for a while, her expression almost comical. Shock and disappointment were etched on her face as she did. “Uhmm… I see,” Gina finally let out, her shock still evident. Ralph stared on silently, his eyes pinned on her face. And then slowly, a small smile appeared on his lips.“I was only messing with you, silly. Don’t tell me you fell for that?” Ralph asked with a smile as he playfully pinched the tip of her nose. The playful pinch to her nose sent a spark of laughter dancing in Gina's eyes, dispelling the shock that had momentarily settled there. Relief flooded her in a warm wave, replacing the tensed look on her face.“Don’t ever make such a joke with me again; that wasn’t funny,” Gina said with a smile, playfully hitting his chest."Don’t tell me you actually believed that I’ll choose anything over you?"
As Gina paced around the room, her mind filled with worry and panic, Ralph, seated in a corner of the room, watched Gina pace with an understanding but pensive gaze. He could sense her worry and panic; the staff wasn’t some random object that someone like Boris could have in his possession. An object like that could destroy the entire world in a second with just a little effort."It's okay, I'll get the staff back, I promise," Ralph said, reaching out to gently hold her in place, his eyes reflecting a sincerity that only seemed to agitate Gina further."You say it's okay? Do you realize what's at stake here? That staff is not just some random object, Ralph! How could you even think of trading something that holds the safety of the entire world just to save one person!? Was it even worth it?" Gina said, almost yelling.Ralph held her gaze for a while, as though at a loss for words, but he answered, “You are not just ‘one person,’ Gina. You and Zayn are my only priorities. I’m going to
Back on the beach, Ralph's worry deepened as the minutes stretched into an eternity. After about 15 minutes of waiting without any trace of her, he decided to go to the female’s restroom in search of her even though he knew it wasn’t right. Upon entering the restroom, it was eerily quiet, the only sound was the distant crash of waves against the shore. Panic clutched at his chest as he scanned the vacant room, finding only her abandoned phone on the floor, its screen shattered. His heart pounded as he picked it up, a premonition of impending trouble settling over him. Confusion and fear intertwined as he stared at the broken screen, contemplating his next move. Before he could gather his thoughts, a new message flashed across the damaged display. Unknown Number: you really thought you could protect her, didn’t you? A chill ran down his spine as he read the text, trembling hands gripping her damaged phone tightly, anger welling up within him. Frustration boiled over, and he couldn't c
A surprised smile touched Gina's lips. It wasn't the question she had expected. She glanced at Ralph, a mix of shock and amusement as she stared. “So, where are we going” gina asked with a smile Ralph smiled, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "you once mentioned that you wanted to go to a beach” Gina's eyes sparkled with surprise and delight. "A beach? That would be amazing." She said with a blush as she bites her lips in attempt to contain her smile. But he walked up to her, took her hands and pulled her into a warm embrace. “i want us to make the best of the little time we have together” he said stroking her hair gently while gina nodded with a tight smile even though he clearly couldn’t see her nod as her head was resting against his chest. The Next Day the sun hung lazily in the sky, casting a warm glow on the sandy shores of the beach. The rhythmic sounds of waves crashing against the shore created a soothing melody as Gina and Ralph strolled hand in hand along the water
