Masuk~ Emilia ~
I crouched to my knees before sitting on the floor. The floor was unusually cold, and I stared down at it to discover it was mud.
I looked around the small room and found a small mirror hung on the wooden wall. I forced myself to sit up and stare at myself in the mirror; all I could see was my tear-streaked face and my scattered black hair.
I slumped back to the floor, forcefully sitting on the mud.
I was dragged in here by the guard that had taken me from my home earlier.
The airy stench of rotten wood filled the air. I stared at the animal-skin hides that hung on the wooden wall. It looked weary like it had been there for years.
And somehow I felt at peace here more than at home since I have been cast out by the people I love, and I believed they would feel the same way some day.
I wondered what the wolves would be needing a human for. Except to work for them. They saw us less regardless of our status. My father was among the top-class richest men in Lycaonia, and he dreaded the werewolves like death.
The humans stayed away from them, never getting involved with whatever they did except for intertrading.
But Ava wouldn’t want to know; she caused trouble as long as I was going to get involved.
I rose to fame two years ago. When Ava had stolen a storybook while at college. It happened that the book belonged to the werewolves. The owner reported to her father, who ordered Ava should be beaten up. I had taken those strokes for her after her mom persuaded Father to force me to do it.
The wooden door suddenly crept open, and a guard walked in.
“Come with me, human." He said and came to where I sat and freed the shackles from my mouth before pulling the gag out.
As we stepped out of the room, my feet followed him, while my eyes took in the surroundings.
We followed a long dark hallway that smelled of old stone and damp. The air around felt like it was coming after a heavy thunderstorm.
We arrived at the end of the hallway and moved through a labyrinth of stone corridors. I made sure to keep track of the turns we took in order to map out an escape route.
We passed a group of men that stood at the end of the corridor, and their gaze rested on me like they had seen a strange being, piercing my skin. They flared their nostrils like they were catching my scent. My gaze left them and rested on the wall.
I strained my eyes in the dark hallway to read the carvings on the wall but couldn’t make any meaning out of it.
We walked for a few more minutes and finally arrived at an open space.
I stumbled over the guard that I followed; that was when I realized he had stopped moving.
He stood for a second and then gripped my elbow tightly.
He guided me along a high, narrow bridge that looked like a valley.
‘Humans never knew this place existed.’ I screamed in my head.
My mind raced back home, and I wondered what my father thought while deciding to give me off to the wolves.
My life has always been a mess. I was despised right from birth. Never have I ever seen my mother. My father said she was killed by the wolves while I was still some months old, and since then I have always dreaded the werewolves and avoided them till Ava got us into this mess.
At the end of the bridge, we walked through a staircase. While we descended, I heard faint voices from a distance.
The sound grew louder as we stepped closer till we stepped out into a massive amphitheater. A circle of white stones that looked ancient sat at the center of a vast land. It was filled with people; some were seated, some stood, while others walked past us.
At the end of the circle, five men stood by a massive bonfire. The flames glowed in the dark, revealing the faces of the men. They looked old and weary, and I wondered what they were doing in a fire.
The guards pushed me towards the center of the white stone circle. I buckled on my knees, my body hitting the cold floor.
The crowd gasped, and I heard someone whisper.
“Human."
I raised my head to see Alpha Adrain walking towards me. My stomach churned as he moved closer, and my heart hammered within my chest.
Alpha Adrain was said to be a beast among wolves, a legend spoken in hushed whispers, who killed without mercy. But his comforting gaze at our home earlier made me rethink. He doesn’t look like the beast he was referred to.
I looked at the burning flames and the thought of him getting me roasted in it, made me want to scream.
He stood before me, his deep blue eyes resting on me. He crouched till he was at my level and then leaned forward, his minty breath fanning my tensed face. He sniffed my face, inhaling my scent. His eyes returned to mine, and our eyes locked.
I stared deep into his eyes, and a bolt of white lightning struck me from within. My chest felt radiated, and a blinding explosion of heat engulfed me.
I was drenched in sweat, and my body shook. Something doesn't feel right, but I couldn’t place my hands on what it was.
He backed away and signaled me to stand too.
I made myself stand but staggered backwards, falling to the floor again.
He stretched his hands and pulled me up. As our hands locked, I felt something snapping within me. My heart raced with speed, and my vision began to blur.
“Mate!" I heard his voice as he lounged forward, his hands reaching to catch my unsteady body before everything went dark.
~Adrian~I looked at Emilia in shock.Did she just do that on purpose?Did she just widen her legs so I could see her pussy?I didn't find an answer to that question. But the only answer could possibly be 'NO.' Emilia wouldn't want to seduce me.The moment I walked into this room and saw her, the towel was wrapped around her chest. This strange longing for her hit me.The right thing to do was give her space to go get dressed, but I couldn't let myself. I wanted to treat her legs so bad because she is in deep pain. That was why I comported myself and walked into her room, ignoring my feelings, and was planning to treat her legs quickly and leave.I was almost completing the plan when she decided to pull this stunt.I didn't know if she did it on purpose or if she was trying to relax her body well.Even if she did it on purpose, I have no business looking there. If I had concentrated on her leg, I wouldn't have noticed she was wearing white pants. The material was made with net, each
~Emilia~“Arghhhh." I screamed out in pain and started limping towards the bed.I pressed my hands against the sheet on the bed, pretending to use it as a support before sitting down. I glanced at the door; Adrian was still standing staring at me. He took off the towel that was resting on his shoulders and walked in fully.Closing the door behind him, he walked to my bed, pulled up the side stool, and placed the water on it.The air in the room tightened, and his silence kind of discomforted me.The weather was extremely cold, but I just felt like I passed through the door of a furnace.I was almost beginning to sweat profusely by Adrian's stare.I didn't really know why he was staring. Was it because he caught me standing straight in front of my dresser with a supposed injured leg or what? What ever his reasons were, my body was already getting a different signal.I had nothing on my body; it was just the towel wrapped around my chest that stopped above my knee and a pair of pants I
~Emilia~I burst out laughing after Adrian slammed the door shut. I couldn’t hold it in.I climbed down the bed and walked over to the mirror and stared at my wet hair and drenched blouse.I stomped my feet lightly on the floor and noticed the pain was almost gone. The look on Adrian's face when I cried out in pain was so satisfying. These were all part of the games, to make him do things he never did, at least to feel the other way others felt. And to make him feel guilty for making a woman train in the field with no meaningful reasons.Well, I felt a sharp pain on my ankle when I gave the doll a kick at the field earlier. But the pain isn't as much as I pretended it was.It was almost gone, though. I feel little or no pain now.I stomped my feet harder in confirmation and nodded.“That's it, the pain is gone." I burst into another round of laughter and went back to bed.I don't want Ivy to see me standing either; every fucking thing needs to look real.Who would believe the most fea
~Adrian~I will surely deal with every wolf that trained today if I find out any of them looked at her.“Adrian." She called my name softly, and somehow, it sounded like a moan in my ears. And as I closed my eyes tightly, she caught me staring at her breast again.I snapped open my eyes and looked up to face her squarely."A–are you okay?” I stumbled over the words, confused at what exactly I was saying. She nodded slowly and stretched out her other hand towards me.I held her hands and helped her climb the next stairs. She climbed gently but muffled out low sobs.“I'm really sorry, Emy, but you shouldn't have kicked the dummy that hard; it was just training," I said amidst laughter.Remembering the way she had kicked that doll back in the field made me want to burst in laughter. But it will definitely upset her if I try to. It's going to look like I was mocking her or something. And it will hurt her deeply.Laughing in the presence of someone that sustained an injury will look like
~Adrian~I had been laughing the whole time as I watched Emilia punch the training doll like it was her biggest enemy.I never knew she was this strong and agile. She glanced at me at intervals and I urged her to go ahead.I took note of other warriors in the training field and confirmed that they were all doing well.I intentionally wanted Emilia to join them in the training because I heard from a source that the Southside armies might come for a fight. She will definitely be their main target, the training is to enable her defend herself if they attack her.I will sure be there to defend her if it happens but she will at least scare them off till I arrive.I watched her give the doll a hard kick and it staggered backwards.I laughed hard, nearly dropping the wine glass I held. Her performance was really outstanding and I never expected it from her.I stared up at the balcony again and our eyes met.I tried hard to look away immediately, but I couldn't.Our eyes still locked and I de
~Adrian~Austin returned with no useful information about the girl. I asked him to find out about her information.“I don't think the figure you took a photo of exists.” Austin continued with his explanation."Damian even helped look up for her info, but her file isn't found. Even if she exists, she is not from this very city.”"What exactly do you mean, Austin?!” I yelled in anger. It's been difficult to find out information this past few weeks. It turns out to be bad news and always with the help of Damian.“I meant every word, Alpha." She doesn't exist. The pictures and videos aren't even clear enough, making it hard to trace her.” He glanced back at the phone screen and shook his head."Just take a look, Alpha.” He snapped the phone to my face."The videos and pictures are blurry. Nobody can trace someone with this." He put down his hands after seeing I didn't bother glancing at the phone."Who knows,” Austin shrugged. "The figure might end up not being a woman, it can probably b
