FAZER LOGIN~ Emilia ~
“I can’t do it,” I declared.
Adrain exhaled deeply, "You haven’t gone through the details of the marriage; it's just for thirty days." He said softly.
I stared up at his face, then collected the papers and read through them again.
And yes, it was no real marriage, and it wouldn’t last, just for thirty days. I will just have to be his wife for paper's sake, or what?
Some sentences were written boldly in italics, and it caught my attention to read through them.
Rule 4: You mustn't be seen leaving the pack premises for anywhere without the full consent of the Alpha.
Rule 5: Never get involved with any man aside from the Alpha.
Rule 6: All rules above must be followed accordingly; any alteration will lead to a punishment by the Alpha.
“I get it, a fake marriage. But why would it come with so many rules?"
He grinned widely. “Because you are mine now, and though it isn’t a real marriage, I wouldn’t want to see any man flirt with you or you flirt with any man either or even touch or sleep with them. If you do, I will bring him to my courtyard and have him flogged and then killed afterwards.”
I gritted my teeth. I’ve been used by my father and step mom and wouldn’t want that to happen again. “And you? No flirting with other women, right?”
“Now sign those papers!" He barked, pissed off with what I just asked.
I hesitated for a while. I wouldn’t get myself to sign these papers. But then my mind raced back at Ava and her plans and the truths I have to find out about my identity, including the fact he called me mate.
And I wouldn’t get to find out if he gets me killed or sends me into prison.
I then picked up the pen and watched his lips curl into a devilish grin.
With a deep breath, I signed the papers.
He collected the contract, stared at it, and nodded in satisfaction.
He leaned close to my face and used the tip of his nose to graze my cheek.
“Powerful scent,” he muttered.
"Welcome to your new world, mate.” He whispered into my ear then backed off and headed towards the door.
A smile curled on my lips as I watched him leave.
My body responded to every one of his touches, and I wondered why.
‘Come off it Emilia, he is a wolf and a dreaded one at that.’ I reprimanded myself.

I looked out of the window and was shocked to see the vastness of the pack. I decided to take a walk around the pack.
I gently cracked the door open in order not to get anyone's attention. I walked through a vast hallway and decided to use the stair at its end.
I crept down the stairs quietly, making sure my footsteps made no sound.
I got to the end of the stair and found a corridor adjacent to a metal door. I made up my mind to use the corridor but stopped dead in my tracks when I heard voices coming out of the room.
“She doesn't have to find out about her identity. The first human the Moon Goddess ever reincarnated. Last surviving bloodline of the Omicrons.” A croaked voice said more like a whisper.
I stood still, confused at what exactly the voice was saying. I made to leave but was urged by my inner self to listen to the conversation.
I retraced my steps backwards, turning back to the door the voice came from.
“She would be able to carry the heir. Greatest heir that would ever exist in the history of Moon Blood." The voice came again.
Who and what was the person talking about?
I stared at the big metal door, and my eyes eventually found an opening.
I peered into the opening, straining my eyes to see who was in there.
My eyes rested on an old woman with grey hair. Her hands wobbled as she tightened her grip on the rod like a staff she held.
"Omicron wolf, a special and rare kind of wolf?” I heard Adrian's voice.
I shifted my gaze to the person standing next to the woman and gasped. It was Adrain.
Alpha Adrain, his beta Austin, and two older men, including the old woman, were surrounding an image of a big white wolf.
“A dead Omega, woken by her mere presence." Adrains voiced out.
My eyes flickered all over him, and then something caught my attention.
Another figure stood behind Alpha Adrain, and I recalled that face.
The guy from the courtyard that had died by Ava’s hand.
What could he be doing here, and what were they talking about?
I was sure he dropped dead after Ava strangled him.
My palms suddenly became wet and my feet shook on the floor.
My body trembled heavily as I strained my eyes more.
“She isn’t human, dear Alpha. She isn’t," the old woman said and laughed out loud.
I froze at the spot. For some reason I needed to place my hands on whoever the discussion was all about.
“The surviving Omicron, last of its bloodline."
I was chilled to the bone. The dead guy from earlier. He could speak.
I was gripped with fear. Or did Ava not kill him? I wondered.
But I was sure she did. She strangled the already dying body till he breathed his last. And shoved him to the floor like some piece of thrash. I saw her kick the body multiple times, and there was no response.
I needed to leave now. I turned to sprint towards the stairs when I stumbled over the metal door. It fell open at the instance, and I fell on the floor of the room with a heavy thud.
"Ouchhh," I winced in deep pain, clutching my wrist.
Adrain and his beta turned to face me, and so did the others.
Each of them was shocked to see me there.
~ Emilia ~The bang I felt on my head when I woke up was massive.I smiled, remembering how Adrain carried me in his arms to my room and then tucked me into bed after I told him I felt sleepy. He really cared, though. He ensured the vase didn’t hit my head, not just once but thrice. How do you feel when someone you think doesn't love you suddenly starts to care? The feeling is reassuring, so reassuring that you would fall for him again.I rolled myself out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. When I came back to my room, my mind raced back to the event that played earlier. How could a vase drop from the servants' quarters not even once but three whole times?Something is off. I sat down on my bed and crossed my leg, looking up to the sky as the thoughts flew in.I saw the figure, at least from his neck down to his head. But they were all covered in a black mask; I couldn’t see his face. Why would someone throw off a vase without even checking if someone was there? Let's say the v
~ Adrain ~I paced in my room, patiently waiting for Austin to arrive.“You called me." Austin bowed as soon as he stepped in."Earlier at the courtyard, did you make sure all the guards were present?" I stopped to face him.He tilted his head, then nodded."Yes, Alpha, I made sure they all left their quarters."“No," I shook my head. “They didn’t all leave their quarters.” I leaned closer.“Who then threw the glass?"“The glass?" Austin echoed, confused.“Yes, the vase. Not just once or even twice, but thrice. Three fucking times." I made the sign with my hands for clearer understanding.Austin still looked confused, and then I knew I needed to explain.“After addressing the guards, I was leaving and then bumped into Emilia, and next thing, a vase fell from the servant quarters almost hitting her.” I paused.Austin's expression was unreadable, but a mix of shock and confusion was written all over him.“I pulled her out the first time, the second, and the third time." I clenched my fi
~ Emilia ~I grunted deep and pushed him off my body.“I didn’t ask for your help. " I eyed him and turned to go."Emilia." He called and grabbed my hand, pulling me close to him.My body fell into his, like my right hand.on his chest.“Arghhhh." I screamed as the glass fell the second time, shattering on the floor inches before me.I rested my head on his chest and shut my eyes tightly. The glass would have shattered on my head if not for Adrain.I opened my eyes and raised my head to look at him, and our eyes met.'No,' I screamed in my head. Don't fall for this Emilia. He just wanted to save you, not because you are special. It’s still the same thing he would have done for anyone that stood there.I disentangled from his hold."Thanks," I muttered and turned to leave when his voice stopped me."Just wait, Emilia.”I stopped in my tracks without turning to face him.He walked up to me and held my shoulders.“You are upset with me, Emilia.” He started.I stood still, not even movin
~ Emilia ~ I watched Adrain leave and shook my head in disgust. Adrain isn't even worth my love. But wasn’t I even a fool for falling for someone who made it clear in the first place that our marriage was just for paper's sake and nothing else attached to it? But something off was going on in this pack. I have overheard Austin complaining about a curse and the death of someone. I hissed; it shouldn’t be any of my business though. The pack's affairs aren't meant to be bothering me. My next plan was finding out more about Charlotte and how she is anyway, Ava. I looked at the drawing and made up my mind not to continue with it or even look at it ever again. I needed to concentrate on my well-being till the marriage days elapse, and I would leave just as he said. I folded back the half-painted drawing, including the box of instruments I needed for the drawing, and headed outside to trash it. I didn’t want to trash it anywhere close because looking at it might make me wa
~ Adrain ~I woke up with my head pounding severely.I closed my eyes, trying to remember the event of the previous day.I recalled them one after the other.Charlotte was attacked by some red-haired girl whose identity still remained unknown to me. Though she confirmed she knew her.But how?I sprang up from the bed, recalling she had a cut on her palm while trying to save herself.I took my phone from the bedside table and scrolled through, searching for her number.Shit! I didn’t have her contact; we communicated through letters just as she requested.I climbed down from my bed and headed to the bathroom when I felt a heavier bang on my head.I walked back to my bed and sat down.“My goodness,” I exclaimed. The incident of last night slammed into me. And I clenched my fist. What did I just do? Tried to be intimate with Emilia and even mistook her for Charlotte, mentioning Charlotte's name at that point.Emilia's face played on my head. Though I was drunk, I could recall how tear
~ Emilia ~I had waited up almost all night waiting for Adrain. But he didn’t show up.I was a bit confused on why I was actually waiting for him, not like he cared about me, though. We weren’t even married as normal couples. It was just a contract marriage that would last for a few days.“I don’t think he is going to show up, ma'am. " His beta Austin bowed after watching me pacing up and down in the living room for hours."It's fine, Austin. Not necessarily waiting for him, though. I just couldn’t sleep.”Adrain moved towards the door. “Alpha mentioned he wouldn’t be home early, so I think you should just go in and sleep." He said and left."My goodness," I exhaled. Why was I even waiting for someone who didn't know I was waiting for him?I sighed heavily and went up to my room.I tossed on my bed, trying to sleep, but I couldn’t.I rose from the bed and decided to still wait for him a little while.I came back to the living room and sat down; my mind raced with thoughts as I stared
