Eleanor immediately jolted awake in the same bed where she had slept the previous night. "So, it really wasn't a dream," she said to herself and lightly slapped her cheek.

She had really been sold at an auction, and she no longer had control over her own life, even her own body. She stood up and went to the window, opening it slightly to get some fresh air.

There, she noticed butlers and bodyguards positioned in every corner outside the mansion.

"He's really making sure I can't escape," she said to herself and then sighed.

'How is Leon? How is Dad?' her brother suddenly came to her mind. How was he doing, was he looking for her? Was he taking his medicine?

She couldn't stop her tears from flowing, she just wiped them away and sighed again, thinking that everything happening in her life now was for her brother.

She looked at the cellphone on the bedside table, "Should I call them?" she thought, "But if Knight finds out, I'm definitely dead..." she immediately stopped herself.

She picked it up and held it tightly while closing her eyes as if asking for a sign whether to call or not.

"Oh Gosh!" she shrieked in surprise when the cellphone she was holding suddenly rang. Fortunately, she didn't drop it.

Knight's Calling...

'This must be the sign, this cellphone is really just for him.'

She accepted the call and slowly brought it to her ear.

"H–hello?" she stuttered.

"My butler will pick you up, we have somewhere to go," he said from the other line, "Wear that red dress in your closet."

'Somewhere to go? Am I going to be sold again?' The anxiety in her chest rose again because of that thought.

"Get ready, he'll be there in a bit." He said and then he hung up the phone.

'Disobey and you will die!' She remembered the rule. If she didn't obey, he really could kill her.

So, even against her will, she immediately took a bath and got ready. She opened the closet and realized how many clothes were there, all new.

She immediately saw a sparkling red dress among the hangers.

'It's so beautiful! Am I really going to wear this?' Amazement was evident in her eyes, but it was quickly replaced by anxiety.

'Maybe I really am going to be sold again.'

She FINISHED getting ready. A few minutes later, there was a knock on her room door. She immediately opened it and was greeted by the maid, Manang Paula.

"Woah, you look so beautiful in what you're wearing, ma'am," she exclaimed, "Oh, by the way, your ride is here. Let's go."

She followed Manang Paula, who escorted her right in front of the car that would take her – a matte black sports car, one of Knight's cars.

KNIGHT'S SHINING LUX CARS COMPANY. The name of the tall building where Knight was – in the office of his solo-owned company.

Sitting in his swivel chair, Knight stared intensely at a necklace he also bought at the auction that night —a flawless 50-carat round brilliant diamond, surrounded by dozens of smaller high-grade diamonds set in platinum. The necklace also had rare colored gemstones, vivid blue sapphires and pink diamonds, woven into an intricate, handcrafted design.

This is what he will give to his fiancee, 'she'll look absolutely stunning and gorgeous in this necklace," He smiled. Thinking about how beautiful his fiancé would be wearing it.

Suddenly the door of his office opened and Heyla emerged. Knight immediately hid the necklace he had been looking at earlier.

"What are you doing here?" he asked, "I missed you right away, because when I woke up earlier, you weren't by my side anymore," she replied and sat on Knight's desk itself, facing him.

The man sneered and moved the swivel chair away from the table, "Hey, I really enjoyed yesterday." the woman said seductively, she stood up and positioned herself behind Knight. Her fingers played with the man's ear as if looking for his ticklish spot. She caressed the man's neck down to his collarbone. The woman felt her own seduction because her eyes were still closed.

"Heyla, Stop!" Knight said softly but firmly.

"I know you like it–"

"No, I didn't! Get out!" this time his voice became loud. He also brushed off the woman's hand on his collarbone, "Hey!" Heyla raised her hands, "I thought we were okay?" she raised an eyebrow.

Knight couldn't answer because there was a sudden knock on the door, "Get in!" he said. His secretary entered with Eleanor, wearing a red stunning sexy and fit dress."

A wave of disappointment washed over Knight, his features etched with dejection. To confess his feelings and be rejected was a blow he hadn't anticipated. He felt as though the heavens had crashed down upon him, crushing his very being. Lost in his disappointment, he stumbled out of Eleanor's room, retracing his steps to his own chamber. His breath came in ragged gasps, and he rubbed his face roughly, as if trying to erase the sting of rejection. "Fuck!" he muttered under his breath, his voice laced with self-reproach. He couldn't help but question his own worth. He possessed a vast fortune, undeniable charisma, and immense power. Yet, he had been turned down by a mere provincial girl. "I think it's because I made her life a living hell," he realized, running a hand through his hair. He inhaled deeply, forcing himself to regain his composure. Fine! If she wants freedom, I'll give it to her. But I'm not letting her out of my sight. Especially with Heyla still at large, he vowed sil

"Let's talk," Knight said, his voice gentle as he approached Eleanor. She steeled herself, drawing a shaky breath before turning to face him. "Eleanor," he began, his voice thick with emotion. He lowered his head, as if searching for the right words. He wasn't sure how to begin. A torrent of emotions swirled within him, a mixture of regret, remorse, and a desperate desire to make amends. He inhaled deeply, "I-I was an idiot," the words tumbling out, raw and honest. "I-I never asked you anything first, before reacting. I was so dumb." He bowed his head slightly, his usual air of authority replaced by a vulnerability that tugged at Eleanor's heart. He looked like a child, crushed by the

"Is the case Niro is encouraging Eleanor to file also part of what is troubling you, Knight?" Glythe pressed, her eyes narrowed. "Case?" Knight frowned, rising to his feet. "He handed this to Eleanor," Glythe said, brandishing the USB. "Maybe it's evidence. So tell me, what case, Knight? Are you involved?" She raised an eyebrow, awaiting his response. She told Eleanor she was just going to borrow the USB and thankfully, Eleanor did not resist on her actions. Knight strode towards Glythe, snatching the USB from her grasp. It was Niro, settling into the seat opposite her, his gaze fixed on her with an intensity that made her heart flutter. "N-Niro," she stammered, her voice barely audible in her surprise. Why is he here? I didn't call him; I didn't tell him I'd meet him. The man offered a fleeting smile, "Just passing by," he replied, his tone casual before turning serious again. "You're with Knight?" he asked, his gaze searching hers. "N-no..." she replied, glancing away, a knot of confusion tightening in her stomach. A cold dread washed over Eleanor, her skin slick with a nervous sweat. Glythe's simple question felt like an interrogation, pinning her beneath its weight. "The way Knight looks at you… I know you're more than just a maid, Eleanor. Tell me! Are you his… girl?" Glythe pressed, her gaze unwavering.
