Chapter Nine

           "Hi, hubby," I teased Zaccheus once he entered my room. But he seemed to not mind the teasing and the mock endearment. Lumapit siya sa akin na nakaupo at nakaharap sa vanity mirror, pinagpatuloy ko naman ang paglalagay ng blush sa pisnge ko.

Huminto siya sa likod ko, pinapanood ang paglalagay ko ng kolorete sa ko. Tulad palagi ay nakasuot siya ng tuxedo, ngayon ay naka-puting turtle neck siya sa loob nito. He wore trousers underneath with a belt. His hair looked the same, just slightly brushed up. His other hand was on his back, he must be holding something behind him.

"I like your fit," I complimented him. "Another thirty minutes please, I'm still getting ready."

His brows formed a one line. "You look ready to me."

"I haven't done my eyes yet, Zaccheus. Alam ko kung gaano kahirap maglagay ng eyeliner?" Inirapan ko siya.

"It's Zac, Mildred." He corrected me.
