When their eyes met after her stomach grumbled, he asked, “What? Go make yourself something in the kitchen. This is food for one person only, okay? I need it to live!”

Alvina smiled, “It’s fine. I’ll make food enough for two, and besides, I don’t eat much,” she said before rising from the chair and heading towards the kitchen.

“Just so you know, there’s just one bed, and I sleep with the lights on.” he notified her.

“It’s fine, Sir Julian. I’ll sleep on the floor. I’m used to it,” she said from the kitchen.

“And I also sleep naked,” he announced, the result being a steel plate falling to the floor in the kitchen and he giggled, “Just joking!”

In the kitchen, Alvina shook her head with a sigh. She had to get used to him and not irritate him after all, he was her savior.

She made some preparations and after some considerable number of minutes passed, headed back to the sitting room, holding two plates of noodles.
