Chapter 16 - Mr. Blade saved my life and also my dignity.

“She is a traitor and the likes of her deserves to die,” Marshall firmly said, his countenance cold. Ariana trembled internally but her appearance looked calm.

Knowing how ruthless his grandfather was, Caddaric quickly went over and stood above them, “I said, leave her alone,” he said politely but his tone was firm.

Marshall was very good at digging out information so he knew a lot of things that Caddaric didn’t know. Experience as it seemed. Marshall lifted his head and looked him in the eyes, his expression unreadable. “This girl will be your end. You should let me take care of her. She is a spy.”

“I’m not a spy,” Ariana quickly defended herself while she looked up at Caddaric pleadingly. She didn’t mind dying but she couldn’t stand it if Caddaric thought unworthy of her. She knew that he liked her and didn’t want that to change. Caddaric’s emotions couldn’t be seen on his face as he looked her in the eyes and said,

“Don’t worry, I believe you, and no one would hurt you.”
