Caterina opened the door to the penthouse and sighed to see it submerged in darkness. Hugo had not returned yet and while she had her speculations, she silently went to her bedroom to get changed.

She was tired. Mentally and physically and she wanted a cup of tea but her heart was yearning for a person who wasn't her to begin with.

She inhaled and exhaled deeply and went to the kitchen. She had not eaten anything throughout the day and her hunger totally vanished when Hugo visited her in the cafe.

She couldn't erase the images of that girl at his arm and she laughed in mock at herself. What did she think? He would be stuck with her? Well, the reality was really harsh.

Caterina picked up her cup of tea and placed it on the kitchen island but before she could turn to get a cookie, the door to the penthouse opened to Luca holding a stumbling Hugo in his arms.

She almost ran those few steps to help Luca take Hugo to his bedroom and managed to get himay down on the bed.
