Pendant

A soft knock came on Coast’s door,

“Come in” he said but when the person came him his aura instantly changed.

“What are you doing here?” He asked Adeline standing in front of him with a pitiful face, he thought it was Bella and had forgotten to pay attention to the scent before letting her in.

“I just came to give you something” she said.

“I am not interested, you can take whatever you want to give me and leave. I don’t want anything from you” he spat out. Did she think he was going to accept anything from her.

“I know but it is not from me, it belongs to your mother. I have always wanted to give it back to you, her son” she said and he instantly paid keen attention hearing that it was from his mother.

She opened his hand and showed him a pendant which he took from his mother in the past, Coast could easily recognize the pendant because he had seen it on his mother’s neck several times. The pendant went missing the day she died.

“You took this from her” he said with a dark face finall
