Sabrina’s POV

My mind went blank at the sight of the rogues. I didn’t even realize I dropped my bag, but I didn’t pick it up. I turned on my heels and moved as fast as I could despite my limp.

The rogue wolves walked slowly towards me, like they were teasing me before they attacked.

“Please go away,” I pleaded under my breath, turning back at intervals to see if they were coming at me. My heart raced with each limp I took.

Suddenly, one of the wolves pounced on me from behind, causing me to fall face flat on the floor.

I turned around quickly before the wolf could sink its fangs into my neck. My hands held the upper and lower jaws of the wolf’s mouth.

I knew I had already lost this fight, but I just couldn’t give up easily. Grunting, I forced my hands to keep its jaws from clasping together and biting off my hand.

“Please…” I muttered, my tears falling sideways, the liquid trickling into my ears.

“Help! Is anyone out there? Somebody help me?!” I cried underneath the snarling wo

Damon’s POVI clenched my jaw, teeth grinding as I stared at the bastard in front of me. His smirk made my blood boil, and those vile eyes of his lingered far too long on the one thing that belonged to me. My mate. Sabrina.I flicked my gaze at Axel once, and he understood immediately. He stepped in before I lost control and turned this entire party into a bloodbath.“Know your boundaries, Greyson,” Axel warned, his voice sharp with authority. “I won’t be responsible for what happens to you if you don’t listen.”Greyson lifted his hands in mock surrender, still grinning like a fool as he tossed the shot in his glass into his mouth. “Relax. I was only joking. Or does Alpha Damon not have a sense of humor? I just wanted to—”“Greyson.” Axel cut him off, this time his tone more serious.Greyson’s laugh was forced now, a thin attempt to brush off the tension and crawl out of the hole he’d dug himself into.Sad thing, he won’t.No one dares to touch what is mine. Even as a joke.Axel made

Sabrina’s POVIt was nighttime. The lanterns that hung above our heads were lit in shades of red, blue, green, and gold—different colors glowing softly against the dark. The vibe from the day was different now. The night felt cozier, yet somehow livelier, with more people up and about.Couples strolled hand in hand from stall to stall, parents guided their children through the crowds, and everyone we passed seemed to be laughing, excitement still bubbling in the air. Children were fewer at this time as they had already gone to bed, activity from the day tiring their little body out.The twins were no different. Their nanny had coke to pick them up once they had fell asleep. Elara had falling asleep in my hands while Elina slept in Damon’s.Now, it was just me and Damon. I trailed behind Damon, chewing on a chicken skewer he had bought me. He caught me staring at at the chicken stall, the aroma making my stomach grumble. I was surprised when he headed there and bought the meat and han

Sabrina’s POVI hesitated only briefly before reaching out to take the arrow from Alpha Damon’s hand. His fingers brushed mine for the briefest moment, the coolness of his skin somehow sparking heat in my chest. He stepped aside, his expression was unreadable but the slight curl of his mouth made me want to win at all costs.I swallowed and tried to shake off the weight of his gaze. My hands felt clammy, but I forced myself to steady them as I turned toward the balloons. Elara tugged at my sleeve, her big eyes shining with excitement.“Which one would you like, sweetheart?” I asked, bending down to her level. Her little finger shot forward, pointing to a green balloon. “That one! I want that teddy, Auntie!” she said, bouncing on her toes as she spotted the medium-sized bear displayed in the corner.I smiled and got up, aiming at the green balloon.Pop!The green balloon burst instantly.Elara squealed, clapping her hands. “You did it! You did it!” She hopped up and down with glee, an

Sabrina’s POVI trailed behind Damon and the girls, looking around the merriment ongoing. I looked around and my eyes caught the unlit paper lanterns hanging above, I could only imagine our beautiful this place would look when lit up at night.I felt someone watching me, and I looked foward only to see Elara boldly staring at me. She smiled when our eyes met.Her big brown eyes lit up and before I could even process it, she beamed. “Unca Damon, your friend is very beautiful.”I froze for second, before I continued walking. Her compliment came out of nowhere and I gave her a warm smile.Damon didn’t say a word.I waited to hear if he would add a comment or something. But he didn’t. I looked away and batted the feeling out. I wanted to hear him confirm Elara’s word or at least debunk them.I wanted to know how I looked in his eyes. Did he think I was pretty or a plain Jane? When I didn’t hear anything from him, I to use my attention on Elara. I gave her a warm smile “Thank you, sweet

Sabrina’s POVSome rebellious spark inside me almost made me fist my hand instead of shaking Aurelia’s. But I pushed it down, took a steady breath, and curved my lips into a polite smile before placing my hand in hers. Her palm was as soft as cotton and it made me want to withdraw my calloused and rough ones.“I’m… Sabrina.”I stalled after my name, unsure what else to call myself. Alpha Damon’s pet? His slave? Those were the kinds of words other people could use to define me, but I would never use them for myself. So I left it at that, incomplete, and pretended it didn’t matter, except if Alpha Damon felt the need to add that.I was conscious of how his eyes followed my movements and tried not to show my dislike for Aurelia before he termed it as jealousy.I wasn’t jealous. My eyes wandered to the two little girls in Damon’s arms. They were nestled into him, tiny fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt. Damon wasn’t the type to offer comfort, yet there they were, tucked in like

Sabrina’s POVThe decorations inside the pack house were nothing compared to the decorations outside. Out there, laughter and cheers filled the air from every direction. Kids ran past me with face paint and cotton candy in their hands, talking over each other, their voices high with excitement. Somewhere in the crowd, people clapped and shouted as someone won a game, and the sound seemed to pull more people in.It was like a carnival. The energy outside was contagious, and before I knew it, a smile had spread across my face.“Glad I brought you out here, huh?” Axel nudged me with his shoulder, grinning.I nodded, though part of me still kept my guard up around him. He wasn’t wrong, though. I was relieved—grateful, even—that he had dragged Alpha Damon and me out of that suffocating room.It was impossible to forget the moment just before he did so. Damon had stepped out of the shower, bare-chested, with only a towel hanging low on his hips. I still remember how the water trickled do
