Chapter thirty-eight

He stared at me for sometime. With his face devoid of any emotion.

I knew he was an introvert. He wasn't very social. He loved being in the quiet, because he was a quiet person.

"You're a lawyer for christ sake. You work more than you should."

"And me working more than I should has made me never to loose any case."

"You're here working your ass off, when most lawyers just cram plentiful words, a day to court." I replied, then scoffed to myself.

He chuckled when he heard that. But I was serious. He really needed a break. I wondered why he always spent time in his study, when he wasn't even an old person.

There was a box of pizza on his executive wooden desk. And my mouth watered at the sight.

"You want it?" He asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

Darn, I had to control my long throat at times.
