chapter thirteen

Ana's POV

Six months later

"Can you please turn that thing off," Gabriel says in an annoyed tone as he gets out of bed.

"You couldn't turn it off for me," I say, pushing the alarm clock aside to go back to sleep.

"I wasn't the one who set that thing to go off at 4 a.m."

"What, 4 a.m.?" I grabbed the alarm clock and looked at the time, by God I was absolutely right, it was 4 a.m. "I swear it wasn't me, I'm sorry."

But the truth was I hadn't done it, although lately I would do anything to screw up Gabriel's life.

I stood up and stared at my husband, his body was in his underwear, I could see his hard chest, sculpted from long hours at the gym and well-marked, I knew because one day I touched it and I knew it was my husband's body.
