Georgina Meredith Sy is living the life. She grew up in comfort. Hindi na niya kailangan ng kahit ano. She's got a loving family; she's pursuing her passion and she's content with the few friends she has. But things changed when Austin Javier Uvero came into her life. No warning, no sign, no nothing. "So we just stop? Because we're hurting? That's not how we do it. We fight but we make up. We get tired but we rest and not quit. We hurt each other but we forgive and repent."
Umiling ako. "I'm sorry. I'm not as strong as you," sabi ko sa mahinang boses. I'm just so worn out.
"I still have a lot to say. Won't you at least listen to me?" he asked with tears threatening to fall from his eyes. He rarely cries. Why are you crying now, huh?
"Won't you at least respect my decision?" I fired back. "You ruined me. What am I supposed to feel? Happy? Because you broke my heart and my trust? There's just no going back on this one," I said with finality. I snapped. I thought I could keep my composure despite the pain. Hindi ko pala kayang gawin.
My breathing slowed down.
My heart's breaking even more watching him with pleading eyes.
No, this is the end of it all.
Binuksan ko ang pinto at bumaba na ako ng sasakyan niya. Hindi ko na hinintay pa ang mga sunod niyang sasabihin. I turned my back on him. On every memory. Masaya man o masakit na mga alaala. Slowly, I let go of everything.
Tomorrow will be a better day. I'll get over this. Damn, I have to.
