Chapter 26: Maeve

Xander’s movie selection wasn’t what I expected. Actually, he said it’s his brother’s collection and he likes everything, but they enjoy watching old school horror movies, whatever those are. I never really got to see many movies. In the coven we weren’t allowed and then it was only a couple of years before my parents were murdered. After that, there wasn’t any time for movies, television or anything other than school, work and protecting my siblings.

So, I pick some movie that looks like it won’t be scary.

“Rom com. Nice!” Xander says when I make my choice.

“What’s rom com?” I ask.

“Romantic comedy. No horror, it's a sweet, romantic style movie.”

“Oh, I can pick something else, it doesn’t have to be a romance…” I start to say.

“It’s fine. 50 First Dates is a good one.”

“Okay.”
